My Carter build

Thank! Goodluck on your builds jack, hope to see some pictures. If you are wondering what colors I used for the helmet they are Flat black, gloss burgundy, aluminum, and gloss deep blue. All by Rustoleum. I sanded the gloss deep blue to make it duller in some places with 320 grit paper.

Torso update

Sweet 2nekos, can't wait to see it when youre done. Here are some pictures of my torso that I painted last night which I stayed up till 1 which didnt help my attention to school studies (senior in highschool=senior slide).

might just be me, but that chest looks really small on you. Maybe its just the photo.

I like the authentisity you did with the chest, decals everything... NO LIGHTS haha jk looks good though.

When I make my carter build i plan on seeing about getting the back part of the chest, the little grill part,seeing if i can make "flaps" and putting a light behind it, because in game you can clearly see light coming from behind the flaps.

Anyways chest looks good but to me looks small on you. Just my 2 cents though, but looks great dude! keep it up!

yeah, thats what my friend said. If you look at how the reach chest sits on Carter you can see that the tips of his shoulders are exposed which helps with his two big shoulders and maneuverability. I actually have not seen in-game reference of the vents on his back glowing. I may end up putting led's into this now, Thanks

I put led's into the vents on the back of the torso. Looks pretty cool in half light.

no big updates. Been working on another thread and have 4 pieces for my carter suit currently in the works. Finished up pepping the commando shoulder (second time to pep) two days ago and will be resin'ing this weekend. I may end up finishing both biceps with shoulders mounted this weekend. From the way its going to be worn I think the commando shoulder will be a big problem with maneuverability. I have to hold my arms out so my biceps dont touch the bottom of the straps of the torso. I think this should be pretty normal so long as I dont look like a chicken. Pics soon.

Finished ze biceps and am liking them. Going to put the shoulders on them once I finish the commando shoulder.

Wow amazing was the torso foam or card stock

The torso I made from cardstock. Once I get some rare earth magnets I will be cutting out the straps and using the magnets to secure them along with putting in padding and filling in the empty space which will help it sit better on my body.

very nice work. what did you do for the battle damage?

dry brushing with aluminum spray paint. along with the burns which is the towel method (spray and wipe off with towel and the black stays in the grooves).
