Good gawd, man... *is speechless* ;)

Took you no time at all to get that laser mount done, did it? :p lol

Any chance you might put this into silicone and mold a few of these beauties? I can understand the difficulty in doing so, given the complexity of your build, but if so I'd definately be in for one, buddy :D

What kinds of machinery do you use (if any)?

Nothing out of the ordinary. I use the scroll saw a lot and a belt sander mostly. Then I have the drill press table saw and radial arm saw. Also files, rasps, hand dill, and sandpaper.

I'm looking into doing some molding.

So, this is pretty much all by hand?

Yes! It's all done by hand.

Here are the final pics before paint. I will be sending it to my friend to paint.
I tried something different. I burnt the lettering in with a wood burning iron.
Let me know what you think.

Hi, here to bother you again.

You said you were looking into molding. If you were to mold and sell casts, would they be solid, or would you cast individual parts to be sold as a working replica?

Your not a bother!
I'm looking at cast several parts. 1 option would be kit, 2 option assembled. possible 3rd option completely finished, but all of this is still speculation.

Well guess I'll have to save up for a pistol too!

Dang... got.... to... find... a... second job to pay all these!

hey all
What I meant when I said that is when you read the book manual, it says that the M6 in H2 is a dumbed down version of the H1 pistol which was called the M6C I believe. so thats all I meant. no harm no foul.
Im definetly gonna have to pick up some extra moolah for this one

PROTIP: H1 pistol = M6D

ON topic, I like the lettering idea. :) handwriting's a bit messy, but hey, who cares? Great work, can't wait to see the paintjob

Personally, if you do end up having several options to choose from, I'd be for the first option. I like being able to assemble and add that "personal touch" in finishing up my prop builds. Just my two-cents worth on that ;)

EDIT: Regarding the lettering, like Bloodletter said, the text is a little messy, but that's a minor detail compared the overall awesomeness that is your M6G pistol.

EDIT # 2: As Link mentioned in Lee's BR thread, we should just keep the discussion here to Lee's build progress, and any further discussion regarding production of this piece should be left to PM's.

Looks awesome. That's Poplar you used right?

Do you get it in different thickness or do you cut as thin as needed. I can only get it here in 3/4" boards.

Why did you decide to change the slide from the game model? To fit your design preference or just easier to work with?

Nice job. (I really need a sander too).

Yes, it is poplar. I can get sheets as thin as 1/4", 1/2" thick, 3/4" thick. Then they have square stock in 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8" and 1". they also have poplar dowels in all different sizes. I purchace it all from Lowe's.

The slide I made from the Wizardofflights design and I didn't know the top of part of the slide was open. I have seen a good pic of the magnum on one of the threads here, but can't remember which. The next version I make may have the change. I just need to figure out if this version will work properly with my internal design.

Yes, a belt sander rules when it comes to working with wood.

Hope I answered your questions. Have a good one!

Actually (Azreal) has the previous one I built and is going to start posting pics this weekend of the sealing and painting process. I haven't shipped this one out yet, because I'm getting measurements off the guts to make up blueprints of the insides. When I get done I will be shipping it out!
