Hey, anybody notice that there's a new ODST pistol in June's GamePro magazine?

Somebody at HBO noticed it in May. I'm just surprised that nobody here has mentioned it. With all the weapon builders here, I thought this would have been big news. Looks to be an easy conversion from one of the previous pistols, although it seems to be about 1/3 larger, with a longer barrel. I'm loving the underbarrel flashlight. Think that's a laser sight above it?

Anyhow... there's a new gun for ODST's to use! Enjoy!

I think it was mentioned in General Discussion, because I know I posted in a thread about it. Actually, It might have been in the Halo Universe. I think it looks like a modified glock, or a heavily modified P99. Those gloves make a good reference pic.

Definately looks kewl, imho. Once I'm caught up on a few other drafting projects, I'm going to try and tackle a set of schematics for this (just have to get the correct sizing for the M6G and then go from there)

Looks like a modified M6D, I like it so far.

It would be a very heavily modified one, since the barrel is located more to the top than in the M6 series.

It looks quite a bit different from the M6 series, but it still has a similar fixed barrel with rear slide configuration. Whatever it is, it's going to be a very large caliber like the M6's.

.50 AE in a pistol is complete overkill.

Halopedia is listing the M6 series as chambered in 12.7mm, so pretty much .50 cal..... really huge for a pistol, basically uncontrollable, but good for battering down elite's shields and brute's armor.

Wow! This pistol looks remarkably similar to the Tiberius 8 paintball pistol made by Tiberius Arms. I personally own one, and I think it might work. There are a bunch of companies that have developed mods for the pistol like undergroundmodshop.com The pistol looks like this,

That marker looks more like a Beretta M92 than the ODST pistol.

Personally I think it looks like a Glock, with some little cuts in the side, sort of like the normal M6C.

I just stopped by walmart, and flipped through gamepro to look at these. There's another picture of the Rookie, which shows the rear of the slide. It's definitely an M6 series pistol, but with a barrel extension and shroud. Spawn Camp3r, do you have a scan of the other pic?

Yes... if you could scan/post that other pic showing it from the other angle, that would give me a little more to work with when drafting the schematics. It'd be much appreciated, dude

I was actually playing with a design for an ODST pistol before I saw this. My thought was that "The Rookie" uses more stealth than we've seen before, so this pistol is probably a modified M6G, and the shroud functions something like a silencer. I do have to say, I like that that finally pulled the laser/scope off the top of the barrel and fixed it to the bottom. I always had a problem with that whole thing obstructing the fixed sights.

The words on the side of the M6G and this new M6 weapon appear to be similar, if not the same.

Looks to me like the G with sone barrel extension and flash/ laser light.
If you look you can see that it looks like two diffrent segments.
