I built it over a paintball helmet, then removed it. I've referenced that many times in the forums as a suggestion for other scratchbuilders.

Well, understand that it's not a transformation. I just used that paintball helmet as an underbase... so I could wear and scale the helmet as I was patterning it.

The paintball helmet itself was removed after the pattern was finished.

So theres no remnant of that helmet left in my M.C. helmet...

Not gonna lie, I am using this as a reference for my wooden helm. When I can't quite get something to look right, I turn here. Best solo helm pics I have seen.
