That foam stomach is coming along super cool. An excellent addition to your armor :)
Than you LilTyrant. I have both now so Once finished I can make up my mind on which one I wan to use the hard plate or soft foam. :D
Sweet! nice belly plate. :D
Are you gonna post pics with it on with the rest of your armor? XDD

EDIT: Btw, I just found your painting tutorial on page 43. Thankyou for going into so much detail about your process. It's going to help me a lot. <3
Thank you RoxyRoo. Yes I'm hoping to have this part done this month And I'll post pic's of both hard and soft plates.:)

As to paint I'm glade to be of service:cool

Thank you, Well to most people whom ask me how to get started I send them to my build page 4-->http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/29935-Noble-Spartan(mod-s-add-on-s-begin)/page4
It has most of the links from the files, to the how to's. After that, once you get started, let me know and I'll come check in on you from time time. :cool

Thorn,
The midsection is coming along nicely. I've been debating about building it myself. The lack of flexibility worries me. If I could find a way to keep the sections able to slide across each other I would try it.

The one I'm building right now is made of foamie's and I will hit it real heavy with Brush on plastic dip.:D

I also have the hard plate planed out to try. With that one I'm thinking along the ways of how the 501 storm-troopers were there's:D

And if both those fail to work I'll just mold the hard plate in latex. :cool

I'll let you know how well it works when I'm done. :cool

Nice work, been a while since ive been on your thread, but your upgrades are looking good. I sertanly like the spine plates that you made, also the foam undersuit is looking good sofar. I was thinking of making an undersuit out of foam myself, but first some other upgrades. Keep it up ;)

So many options lol. you sure know how to have a backup plan :)
cant wait to see!
Hehehe. Sorry, force of habit, I always have a plan (B) :D

maybe you could do something along the line of what roxy did on her ab plate, have one piece attached to the chest, and another offset on the cod, that way they line up and look like one but they move independently of each other. all in all though looking awesome man.

Thank you, Cinderblock :)

As to the design,
That is pretty much what I'm doing right now with the foam. When I get the time for sizing I'll post more pic's. But with this pep design being used with foam it should give me a lower, mid, and upper sections.

Remember My armor is already made so I have to make every thing around it. So that said, the upper will be made Around the stomach plate. The lower will be made Around the cod belt. And the mid section is what you're looking at in the last pic will be inserted behind the two. My cod belt is a slide on/with a twist. The cod belt looks like a big "C" that I slide around my body and twist it into place, then insert the front plate. So that has to be taken into mind during the planning stage. :cool

But thanks for the idea.:cool

I'm watching Roxy's and LilTyrant's build also.:D they are the best for the under-suit designs

I know I don't put allot into words here on the forum. Creative writing has never my thing and don't even mention Spelling. ;) But I'll try to break things down a little more for everyone watching as soon as I can get the words/ideas out of my head and onto the screen. I'll probably start with breaking down the painting first, so there is something for you all to look forward to. :cool

So as soon as I'm done killing off a few more things on the Honey-do list I should be able to get back to this project. Now there is a con here in MI next weekend I may go, But that is not set as of yet, it all depends on how well work go's this week. :D

EDIT: well con is out. I pinched a nerve in my neck and I just don't see were wearing armor for 8 hours could possibly help maters.:(
So I'll have set up a photo shoot later this summer.:cool
Youmacon is coming up in Nov. and Halloween... I'll have it all done and ready for then:D

Thanks for watching.
Till Next time.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the neck... Real crappy deal :(
As far as the armor progress goes, I'm very interested to see how this all comes together, the melding of solid and soft armour. It's my opinion (little worth! lol) that you've taken on one of the hardest things to do; Adding a component to an existing armour set, as you stated above, adding on means "heavy constraints" as you have a fixed space to work in being that all the other components already exist. Would be much easier going if this was being incorporated from the get go!

However, if anyone can/will pull it off... you will without a doubt!
Dave.

Man thorn, sorry to hear about your neck buddy. Hope it heals quick so you can get back to working on that awesome armor of yours! :D

As cereal and vshore have said already, sorry to hear about the neck bud, hope it gets better soon :) must have been all those honey-dos lol

Thanks, it will take some time to heal. I did however do a quick test fit to show how the front plate and hips are going. Just a little bit more then I'll brush on plastic dip. After that I'll spray on a little more plastic dip for texture, and paint. :cool

Hopefully I'll be able to check this one off the punch list soon. Then I can get to the thigh underarmor. And lets not forget the side pouch and side arm. Then we'll see what else I need to finish this. Maybe more lights. :cool If I'm forgetting something please let me know.

Here's the pic's.
