Azrael is a great character, and one of my favorite stories from Batman. I'd really like to work on this at some point, at least a helmet and gauntlets. But working from the artist's work leaves room for a bit too much interpretation for me, seeing as how there are a lot of dark spots and such.

If you can getting any other shots, possibly of sculptures, that would help out a lot.

Yes there is definitely some room for embellishment because there are so few high def interpretations of Azrael's armor... Here is an action figure and a sculpture:
