Wow your work is OUTSTANDING!!!! I do have a question though. Did you use all of the pieces in the pep files, or did you delete some of them? I am doing a foam armor myself. And it seems that most, if not all of the pepped pieces will be used with the exception of the tabs.
Hello everyone I just been promoted at work. As excited as I am About this. I wont have as much time to work on my Turret gun or update my armor. because I wont be home as much. By the end of this month Ill be able to mold my pilot helmet. Is there anyone still interested? Let me know from now. Send me a message for more info. Im also working on a Halo Reach EOD and EVA Helmet.
fantastic build my friend! truly top notch! i love your idea about the piece around the neck, and hope you wouldn't mind my crediting you for using a same basic design on it.
Hey everyone I haven't really been on here in weeks. I have be come a Zombie Slave to my job. Its hard to find time to do anything. Plus my work room has temporally become a guest room for the next month. So I cant really work on anything large. But as of now I only have about 8 more months before I will have to stop working on everything. We have added a new member to Noble Team. We are having a baby.
In that time I will produce 3 more helmets. Noble 6's MK V, EOD, and the EVA. Im going to push back molding of the Pilot Helmet. I'm trying to master the art of the Gold/Silver Dome Visor so you may have options
This is what I have been working on in my spare time
This is what I have on the EOD
I will also be starting a new thread for the helmets, so look out for that soon
I have also found this Picture of me from Comic Con
Congrats on the newest team member nick, another prop maker is on the way! Also, that helmet has got to be one of the best I have ever seen. The visor is so sick!!!
Hey Nick! I just sat down and read this ENTIRE thread. I made a huge list of all the stuff you used and I'm taking my armor-making style in a whole new direction. After all of this I have a few question:
1. After you cut out the foam pieces from the pep files, do you still keep the tabs and fold them to glue all the pieces together like you would with paper?
2. How many layers of Bondo did you put onto your helmet?
3. How did you fasten your visor to your helmet?
4. How much will you charge for your Mark V helmet unpainted?
You have been a massive inspiration to me and I'm so glad I stumbled upon your thread. Keep up the FANTASTIC work and congratulations on the new team member!
I really liked your work, it's inspires me to move forward in my work! I actualy have a question- which clear plastick thickness did you used to vacuum form the visor, I'll be very pleased to here it from you!
