Check your PM sir!!!! Lol, Great job on this whole suit it is truly Beast!
I really liked your work, it's inspires me to move forward in my work! I actualy have a question- which clear plastick thickness did you used to vacuum form the visor, I'll be very pleased to here it from you!
I used Polyester ( PETG ) plastic. The thickness I used was 1/16", although I feel like I could of went thicker. I will try 5/64'' next. This is where I get it from. Lucky for me There is a location in Los Angeles I can pick them up from. http://www.mcmaster.com/#plastics/=dv78zo
Hey Nick! I just sat down and read this ENTIRE thread. I made a huge list of all the stuff you used and I'm taking my armor-making style in a whole new direction. After all of this I have a few question:
1. After you cut out the foam pieces from the pep files, do you still keep the tabs and fold them to glue all the pieces together like you would with paper?
2. How many layers of Bondo did you put onto your helmet?
3. How did you fasten your visor to your helmet?
4. How much will you charge for your Mark V helmet unpainted?
You have been a massive inspiration to me and I'm so glad I stumbled upon your thread. Keep up the FANTASTIC work and congratulations on the new team member!
Thank you! But now I'm sad, because I had unfolded and modified a pep file last night, and and THEN I figure out that there was already files! :|Originally posted by Drakon
