I love you're collar design so much that I did something similar for my build. Of course I had to give you credit for the idea, so you're build is link'd on my page 4. Thank you so much for figuring this one out, if it wasn't for you I'd still be cutting foamy's trying to figure it out. :D

Nice, im going to do a similar thing with the Kukri, the diference is that im gonna be doin mine in plywood. It was a great deal, 6x8 or sumthin sheet for 10 bucks :D

That's some beastly work! The armor looks profesionally done. Your knives look great, I'm assuming you used PVC foamboard to make them?

wow man this is amazing! like others have said this really looks like its made professionally or as if its from the live action trailer i cant wait to see how the whole armor looks when its finished keep up the awesome work! i'll be watching o_O

I have a question. What file did you use for the Chest?? i'm wanting to build one but i cant find a good file.

Try searching for L3X BLU3R1V3R's files. It's the one Nick Nack used.

Yes, this is true that he used that file, but SimFan, keep in mind that Nick Nack DID modify it and added his own personal touch to the chestplate. I was asking him about it too and wanted to know if there was a different file he used or if he added the stuff himself.

Wow I feel the love.
Sorry I could not back to everyone quickly. I have been sick and dying for the past week.

Well it seems that the knife placement on the top won with a landslide victory. Thank You everyone for helping me decide. You guys are awesome.

Yeah, I know what you mean about that whole situation. I haven't been on there in a while my self. Anyway...... Thanks for the info on the foam and glue. I have a mini glue gun, but I should be able to make it work. If not, I'll go get another. So are you editing the files any to make larger templates or working with them as is? One more thing,(for now) what is your cutting tool of preference? Sorry for all the questions, just don't know anything about foam builds, but I'm wanting to learn.

Its all good bro im here to help. I was using a hot knife at the beginning. But I found that a x-acto knife with a fresh never been used blade works just as well. I dont know how to edit pep file. All the parts I added. I made right there on the spot. Truthfully this is my first foam build.

Nick Nack - Great work! What a talent! Thanks for answering everybody's questions - pretty much answered all I thought up. I keep tumbling over the idea of doing the foam armor, especially for the chest since it is so big and so involved in detail. Great stuff. - Bill

Thank You Bill. I'm glade you think so highly of my skills. I do what I can with answering questions. Im happy I got all of yours

Wow, Nick Nack, this build is totally sick! I dunno if you've made up your mind yet, but I think that on front of the shoulder is where you should put the knife, just because it's easier access. ...For me at least..... But seriously this build is on the epic side of AWESOMESWEETCOOL AMAZING!
Keep it up and definitely keep us updated with the posts!!

Thank You Bro. Updates is my specialty

My god man. AMAZING details. you could give Timecon a run for his money.

Thank You. Timecon is the one who inspired me. His build is like Hot chocolate on a cold night.

Looks really good so far. Looking forward to seeing the finish product and you at comic con. Btw what days did you get for the con?

Thank You Bro. Sadly I was only able to get one day, Friday. I'm might hang around Saturday if I can get a hotel. I might sleep im my truck if i cant lol.

Very impressive! I know what you mean about people knocking out armour in week. It's been 3 years and I still don't have a completed armour piece. It's all about sticking to it though.

What kind of foam did you use? Sorry if you already answered that, but it just looks like the foam from camping mats. What's the strength like?

Keep it up! Oh yeah, that reminds me; do you have any previous experience with an airbrush?

The foam is called Mini Cell This is where I get it from http://www.foambymail.com/Minicel.html Its Foam Rubber so it can absorb a lot of force, And it seems to have a high tear strength. And Its not as stiff as floor mat. Its great stuff.

I have never used a air brush till now lol.

Nick Nack, your armor and knife is horrible! SEND IT T0 ME FOR DISPOSAL!

XD But like everyone else said, I like it on the top, but not on the slanted part, on the top smooth part where it normally goes on the Spartan. Keep up the good work!

:( Thank you for the truth. I'll send it to you right away..........Hey you trying to pull a fast one on me lol

Awesome:D You buildt my Mark V (B) helmet^_^ I'm honored to have a so skilled artist use a pep file I made^^

Your helmet is beautiful. It will go great with my build. Thank You for your Art Work bro.

Nice, im going to do a similar thing with the Kukri, the diference is that im gonna be doin mine in plywood. It was a great deal, 6x8 or sumthin sheet for 10 bucks :D

plywood is the next thing I want to try. Keep me posted .

Styrene Plastic. PVC Foam would seem easier tho

I have been hitting the gym hard lately. I'm trying to get my spartan body back. I dont want to be out of shape in my costume.

900 pounds. Going for 1,000. If only that was my arms lol. I have to work on the abs next. The gut got to go.

........yyyyyyyYYYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! you know how there are those people who are basically worshipped for their ability? and there's that one thing that you want to see them make because it will push them to their limits? Lee and his reach sniper, Adam and his AR, dogwizard and his hammer, ithica and his busa, ect. each has his/her mona lisa. well this sir, that gun, in my eyes, is going to be your mona lisa. i've always been amazed by your talant and im pretty sure that this is going to take the cake. I. CANT. WAIT.

Nick Nack, I was wondering was it easy building your armor? I've tried the foam method on a test shin and it didn't come out right, so I'm finally planning on building my armor (I got a job now), so the question is will this be easier than pep. I hope you understood me. :)

*Snip*

Hey, If you run your knife through Aluminum foil it can re-sharpen the blade.

Loving the build :)

First, the build is Phenom! Second, I'm with you on the getting in shape. I don't want to start a suit untill I get in shape again. BTW, I used to be a gym rat back in the day, and that is a **** ton of weight. You may be half spartan. Keep up the good work.

Dang dude! Your going all the way! Awesome armor and knife? Yep! Awesome weapon? Yep! And now a Spartan body to go w/ it? Respect! I'm saving this thread!

This build is looking absolutely stellar! I would love some detailed information on how you built your chestpiece so that I can make my own. I'm (hopefully) going to The Con this summer and I would love to see your armor IRL!

Can't wait for more updates! Keep up the good work!
