Looking great! Wiring the electronics and keeping the wires organized and orderly can be difficult, I know. I got quite a headache last night when I was wiring up my Mk VI thigh. It looks like you got them very well concealed.

I love the placement of the fans in your helmet; the location makes perfect sense and they fit beautifully. Keep up the good work!

UPDATE

I bought my molding supplies but I'm going to wait a couple days to start because I need to finish my suit first :)

I was actually asking about the thing right in front of the liner inside the helmet.

The little plastic piece? If so, that's connected to the liner.

Thank you very much :) With some time and effort it'll all come together finally : )

Did you just disassemble a helmet or did you buy a replacement liner somewhere?
What parts are you going to mold? Where do you get your molding supplies?
I plan on stopping at Fry's electronics in San Diego when I'm out there in mid October to pick up small fans and LEDs.

Well, the liner is from a old snow boarding helmet, but you can buy a replacement or cheap Wal-Mart bike helmet.
I'm planning on molding my Halo Reach Magnum :) I bought my molding supplies at a local retail store called Sculpture Supplies Canada.
Very nice, they add a really nice look and the fans help out a lot! lol

Is there any way you could pm because me I would love to get a pull from your mold. If the magnum is as good as the rest of your build which I have no doubt that it is I would love to get one from you. With me juggling two builds at the same time weapons are low on my list of stuff to complete. have you ever put a curve in plexi?

That's awesome! Haha I'll send you a PM when I pull the first cast :) I have not curved plexi glass before, what were you planning on doing it for?

the lens of my helmets I'm also going to tint them with either spay on or film tint. I got the idea because ALOT of us PC modders use plexi for side windows and other stuff. I've even seen a pc that was all plexi. But using plex for the lens is cheaper and you can crank out a few for a helmet in different shades.

That's a pretty neat idea! But I think I remember reading about plexi-glass not forming well in arches or something like that. But you can vacuum form over a premade visor, but use a thinner plastic, such as PETG, you can get it at hobby stores or a plastic supply store, it's clear and will form better. Give it a try maybe : P

I do have a few tricks up my sleeve for keeping the shape. I don't have a vacuum former or a vacuum for that matter. lol. otherwise I would do some of the armor vacuum formed.

Hey man, the armour is looking awesome, and I love the rifle. Is everything going to be ready for Fan Expo? Sadly, I will not be donning my Jorge armour this year, but there is a chance I might dress as a Spartan I, King Leonidas!

UPDATE

A photo of my friends Halo 4/Reach DMR. It's not 100% yet but looks pretty nice : )

Aww man, was looking forward to seeing it this year, but the Spartan1 idea is hilarious :p If you see me, let's take photo!

can I get the forearm file that you used yours looks better than the one I've got.

Here you go!

Thanks for the file. Your thighs look great. Umm no homo. lol. The paint job and light placement are spot on. How much fiber glass does it take for a whole suit? I found out the hard way that I have to redo my EOD helm so I'm still cutting out parts.

Those thighs look sweet, man. I love the lights and the caution stickers.

Thank you! :D I've been working non stop on it for Fan Expo, ALMOST DONE! haha

The DMR is freaking sweet

Thank you! I pretty much agree :)

No problem bud, I used about 3 packs of fiberglass for my whole suit, but I didn't fiberglass my helmet because I always get pieces sticking out and I didn't want that near my head so I just did some heavy rondo on the inside and outside. Hope that helps ;P

Thanks for all the replies guys! :D Really helps out :p
