Well its finally warm enough to do anything so I started out with a spartan hoplite helmet.

Looks nice, I guess I'm not the only one who is working on one.

Not to hijack your topic or anything, but here's mine so far:

So, how is it coming with the Spartan Helmet? I am working on one myself. I would image we probably got the pattern and the step-by-step from the same places. Few questions for you.

1) Are you going to fiber glass the complete outside and the inside? If so how many layers?
2) Did you give yourself enough room for adding some foam padding inside the helmet?
3) Are you going with epoxy putty or bondo on the outside on top of the fiber glass?
4) Any plans on other armor pieces?

I post my photos if I ever get as far as you have. I like what you have done with the tape on the edges. No need to fill the holes in the cardboard if you don't see them after you fiber glass. Good luck and keep us posted. Now back to working out for me.
