Ranger's Halo 3: Mk VI Build

Finally got the other thigh done (right thigh, left in image). All I should have left is the chest, shins, and shoes.
Admittedly, I think this one turned out better as I learned how to improve my process compared to the first one (the first one was kinda rough going).

After a week or two of not having time to work on my suit at all, I finally found time to build the chest piece (it's plastidip is currently drying). This part was trickier than the others, and I had to make several modifications from the pepakura I used, but I'm relatively happy with how it shaped out.

Suit looks good, man. Especially for such a short amount of time, that's a great job. Keep us informed after the plasti dip is done!

After moving apartments twice, two University terms of finals, and completing a degree in AI, in the last 6 months, IT'S TIME TO RESUME WHAT REALLY MATTERS: BUILDING THE SUIT! Oh goodness gracious I'm so excited to have the time again!!
Shin pieces are now built and plastidip drying. I also refitted a number of pieces that never quite fit/stayed on. With the Wisconsin con around the corner, it's time to start crankin this out.


Oh, and I also got my HUD installed , just in case you guys thought I forgot about my 'techno-wiz' ideas haha. I'm shooting for some big work to be done over the next 3 months.


Unfortunately, I've also noticed that as I got better I've gotten better at seeing the weakpoints of my suit (of which there are many) and am already looking towards my next build.

Built my boots and got the first layer of plastidip drying. I'll probably add more detail to them (cause they're pretty basic) after they get their first coat of paint, but that goes for a lot of my pieces by now tbh.

Very excited to say all my pieces have now been built, with just shins and shoes awaiting paint! After that is touch ups, yadda yadda, and HUD stuff!

This is looking awesome. Good idea with the pre-made helmet tht you just repainted. wish I thought of that before I made my first(too big)...then second(too small)...then third(just right). which finally worked. cant wait to see the progress.

Thanks! The weathering was my favorite part, that's when I got to Bob Ross it.
