Hello!
Almost all of my armor in the past has been exclusively 3d printed, so I wanted to change things up, learn some new skills and mess around with foam and some other techniques I haven't really tried with my other gen3 kit. I Have some experience with foam but I really want to nail down my skills so I can make my upcoming ODST build the best it can be. I'm also planning on not putting in too much effort because I want to do all sorts of stuff that will probably damage it. Now with that all said lets get to the actual build!

As far as the build process goes. I'm probably going to follow MkVII tutorials and posts to make my life as easy as possible, while maybe changing and adding some stuff along the way. As I've said before I'm not too experienced with foam so ill be working from the feet up and leaving the chest for last so hopefully by then ill be a bit better and I can make chest the best looking part.

I've scaled everything in armor smith and have all the patterns printed out (I think) so its time to spend hours cutting paper! heheh
Thanks for reading!

Hey Zippyzeek! As a fellow Spartan who also made his armor out of EVA foam, I’m super excited for you! If you haven’t already, you should checkout Evilted on YouTube. He had some great tutorials (full on suits broken down sections) making foam armor pieces which I modified to fit my build. But he really had some great tips and broke down the tools I needed, especially with the chest, so good in fact that the armor I’ve made has been holding up for +7 yrs! Best of luck on your build, can’t wait to see your final photos!

Thanks for the tips! I've definitely been reading up and watching lots of vids on foam building and all that stuff. And I'll check out evil Tedd too, he sounds super helpful! I'm super exited to get things going! (I just need to buy Eva foam lol)
