Hey gang, been...well FOREVER!!!! anyways I have been try to get better and work more on stuff with halo. so instead of me making a rifle 6 times and a pistol, well you get it I went right up to the big guns. I am a huge heavy weapons user in the games so I wanted my rocket launcher. Then 343 came out with that horrible single tube thing. but redemption came when the but the SPNKr back in. So for my heavy weapon ODST I started to work.


No the thing about this is I am trying something I am not very strong at. I am looking only at reference images and free handing any and all templates. I am doing as much as I can till this point. sadly I ran out of 10mm and 8mm foam. So I am on stand by till I can buy more.

Also, ignore the barrels my kids though it was for them to play with.....

Hopefully this one will be a little more forgiving on your shoulder than wielding my big behemoth I used to have lol. How much does it weigh now with the cardboard tubes in it?

Well Benton188 the weight is an overall length being there is no cutting of the tubes. so I think at this moment I maybe pushing 3 to 4 pounds on the SPNKr at this time. I figured the overall weight was going to push the 5 to 7 pound range. But I got to strengthen an area near the front she is a little too weak, but minor things I think is good being this is my first big prop. Next will be a railgun, because heavy weapons win. But that is after the protosuit.

I used mine to store prints and stuff in the past. Even a rolled up regiment flag a few times.

The tubes will remain open. To lighten the load and air flow. I might wrap some 2mm on the tubes to smooth it out so when I start to decal it shall be all smooth.

Progress is being made from whatever I can find. But sadly now I am at a stop point. I ran out of any foam but 2mm. So gotta rough it till I get more. But so far so good in my book. I’ll get the back done on my foam order in th coming month. So keep an eye out it may just be done next time I post.

So the SPNKr is built!!!!!!! I have seamfilling, heat seal, detailing, and the priming but honestly is it so awesome!!! And this thing is massive. I am upgrading my odst armor for sci-fi valley comic con in June but I will be done and I will be epic!!!! Final pics will be next
