Mate, you have put in alot of time and effort. After seeing your suit, I have gotten off my butt and re-started mine. I'll love to see how yours will turn out.

These are the screws I'm using to connect straps and armor got them at ace hardware they had 8 different sizes about $1 a piece and I got 30 screws

for those that want to know you drill a hole then put a counter sink so that your screw head is below the level of the armor then you can put bondo over the top and your screws wont show. see pics below

nice armor! how did you get the pieces that smooth?!

I apply the first layer of bondo which is kinda ruff go over it with a heavy sand paper then I use a flat piece of plastic to apply the second layer and use a med paper, from there you can gage how thick certain areas need to be and add more layers accordingly. Keep using med until your about done then go over it with a very fine paper. and last I take about 10 hours for each piece detailing and sanding spend all day fri and sat doing the thighs and there almost done I do some finish up work on mon night

that flat piece of plastic idea is great! i was trying to figure out a way to get rid of "pits" in my armor after sanding from lower levels of bondo. but when ever id apply another coat to smooth it, itd just have the same result. hard to explain. but that solves the problem thanks!

wow but what i hate about nuts and bolts is that people can see you drilled a hole or see the nut or bolt.
