I don't know why you keep insisting on wanting to butcher out the insides, like I'm pretty sure it isn't going to work, especially that, because the magwell is different, the barrel is alligned differently, because thats 3/4ths scale.

Thanks for your insights. I got set straight over at asc. for now I'm going to leave this alone and work on my kraken, then I'll come back to it. Chances are, eitherr I'll buy a look alike from 007Airsoft and swap on different parts to make it look like it or I'll just take a crapsoft rifle and modd the outside so I have one for display. I could also scale the size up with bondo, right??? I think so. I'll talk more about it later, tomarrow. At least I knoww when you check the site!!! (2:30 am. ouch)

Lol, I generally go on late. And I guess you might be able to upscale it with bondo but it would take A LOT of work. Try to look for some airsoft canada forums and get a used gun. That's my best advice.

Lol, really late. It would take alot of work, but being a 15 year old I can't get age verified at airsoftcanada so I can't look at the classifieds, thats why I've been looking at other ways of getting a C7A1. I'm just thinking of projects to keep me occupied until I'm 18 and can use the classifieds. I also have tons of spare time, so why not right?? I'm saving for a real airsoft gun for when I'm 18 so then I won't have a crappy clearsoft gun to use at Xtreme Tactics. When I said scale it up, I just meant the body, not making it so the Tm parts would fit. right now I'm thinking of just a display rifle. Now I'm just repeating what I have already said, so I'm going to stop talking. :D

I think youde be better off buying an m-16A4, there basically the same thing under different pattents, if you look into their history

What are you talking about??? Knifes are way more dangerous, but if you use them in the right setting then they are a great thing (such as a circus, or for display, or in a museum.)!!! Same thing for airsoft, if you use them in the proper place with the proper equipment/ protective gear then all is good. But if you use them in public then you are just asking for trouble. Same thing for anything really, if you are a responsible driver with a licence then theres no problem, but if you are speeding and running red lights then you are asking to get hurt, you have to follow the rules and regulations. If you play without the proper gear then you or some one else is going to get hurt. And no, airsoft guns are not "banned everywhere", just mostly everywhere. Canada, the US and most of Europe do not ban airsoft. It is a very fun sport. And remeber, we are not selling the guns here (except for one or two. But if other people can sell their old stuff, like old ipods etc,) why can't we sell our stuff?? and no knives are not the equivelent. They are meant to to fataly leathal, there is no way that airsoft guns can be leathal due to the fps restrictions, nor can they in any way be modified to be leathal. I'm guessing you have had a bad experience wit hthem, maybe being shot at when you did not want to be, but if you were holding a gun and wearing goggles, you were a fair target. But if you were not at least wearing goggles then whoever shot you was being an incredibly huge retard. Not all of us are like that. Most of us are in fact reponsible adults/ teenagers.
Cars, airplanes, even riding a greyhound bus (see my other locked topic) are much more likly to be dangerous than haveing a severe injury from airsoft. You just have to wear the right gear/ follow the rules for all these things and nothing will happen. It seems to me that you are attacking a very popluar sport (world wide) without any real reasearch/ evidence.
This thread was made to show off our non lethals guns/ ask questions about them, not to start an argument. Next time you want to make an accusation, do it in the right place, like a thread made for it, or in pms.
Thank you for reading my somewhat repetative rant. :p

EDIT: there is a reason this General forum is called "General forum". I think that maybe, just maybe it was created so that we could talk about other things, non-halo related???? Am I right??

EDIT EDIT: Looking at your profile picture you aren't even old enough to own a gun, so you really don't know anything about airsoft. You probably only know about clearsoft guns which is a world apart from airsoft.

i wonder if i should sell my car audio and buy a halfway decent airsoft gun.

anyone have opinions on JG brand?
i heard they are decent for backyard battles but i looked at a couple of their guns and some of them are complete or almost completely metal for like 130 bucks.

should i settle for that or is there another brand i can get that is better for the same price?

and ultrakiller?
wtf man. if you dont like teh topic then dont post or read.
stop trying to act like a mod cause every single mod on here did not have a problem with this thread.
like others said there are rules and restrictions for reasons.

general section is for anything (well everything excluding adult entertainment)
what if i made a thread about bowling?
should i be ashamed of that too?
cause you know 198 people die from bowling every year( <-- extreme sarcasm)

i think you need to stop acting like a mod. what are you 12? or are you just pissed cause you cant buy or cant afford knives and airsoft guns?

i might make a thread about paintball. and if you post in it you will get flamed and reported.

JG is pretty good. I personally like their G36C. Very nice AEG. However if your looking for a good gun thats not too "pricey" then I would reccomend WELL, CYMA, Double Eagle, and maybe ICS. ICS is a bit more expensive than the other brands I listed but they're worth it. The other brands I listed have AEGs for all your price range. CYMA does have some pretty good AEG's and has some amazing AK-47 AEGs for some good prices. The quality of the gun depends on how much you're willing to spend. I would also reccomend getting a gun with at least 280 to 300+ fps.

ok what company produces a m4 that atleast has a metal gearbox and shoots around 320fps for 140 shipped?

Hmmm, well I'm not sure. Most good AEGs with a metal gear box are pretty expensive. You might want to check out this AEG by JG. But I can't really help you much. I would reccomend going to shortyusa.com

I say that you should get that AEG. Very nice! However, I would not reccomend buying a silencer. I used to have one for my old M4. It decreases the accuracy, and there is a small chance that a bb will malfunction (or something) and start bouncing around inside the silencer. (<----- Happened to a friend of mine with his MP5). But overall, you should get that AEG. As for magazines, I would reccomend buying a high capacity mag. I have a 300 round one for my M4 and it greatly decreases the hassle of having to exchange mags in the field. And you might want to make sure the mags you buy are compatible with your AEG.( I learned that lesson the hard way  ) Well, that's pretty much it.

well i was just going to buy the silencer for looks but if it has potential to mess up my gun then i wont get it.
as for magazines i was gonna get those cause it is more realistic and i hate having to wind a little wheel on the bottom of the mag lol.
and yes i made sure those magazines would fit.

so cool now i just got to save up roughly 250 and im good.

you think the scope is good?

The scope is pretty good. If I were you, check to make sure it is adjustable( the green dot). I purchased a red dot scope for my Sig 552 Commando and it was slightly out of line. Luckily I was able to adjust the thing back to the center.

Lots of updates!

JG/ECHO1 are both well known for their beginner guns (same company.) I use beginner guns because they are not as high quality as a "real" aeg and they will break down quicker and they do use cheaper parts. But a lot of people have had high success with them. Also the mag pouches you got, those are for molle armor. Make sure you have a molle vest, if you don't know what a molle vest is, it's the one I have in one of the pictures in the first couple pages. Or the army of two thread you can see it. Silencer, don't bother right away. I actually would reccomend putting the money towards a classic army, ics, or a tokyo marui gun. Much longer lifespan and if you keep it stock, it will be quite reliable. Although its not as powerful as a JG, the CA you can put an m120 in it right away. But thats why JG isn't reliable, because they put stronger springs inside, which puts more stress on the low quality gears and insides. CA can support it, Marui will break, ICS I think can support it too.

And to the kid that spazzed over the forum, rofl. I'm not going to start a flame war but lizander handled it pretty well. So I'll leave it at that. I might have missed stuff. Just re ask me!
