I found pep files for WM while i was watching a video on youtube .. i said to my self i have to do one of those for hallowen .. yeahh i know .. a lot of time till that day ..

So im not in a hurry .. i started printing the chest today .. the pdo file i got was at a 1.80 scale ..

i didnt know much about it .. so i print it .. while i was half way .. i realize that i was not gonna be able to fit on it ..

So .. Google help me put and im here ..

i got the latest JUICE kit .. and the scale is set to 1.90 DEFAULT .. ive been trying to figure it out the scale thing .. but i cant ..

so .. if some can plz me out .. i saw IRONERD is 6.2 .. so maybe u know what im talking ..

a 2.0 scale is good ???

i would try a 2.2 scale since you're a pretty solid dude. I kinda set the default scale for me, and im 5'9 170. You're QUITE a bit bigger than i am. Check out the theoretical scaling in this post

You'll have to do a lot of guessing and checking and measuring. There isn't an exact science to it. Some people are differently proportioned and need differently scaled parts to fit them. Good luck on your halloween War Machine! if you get some decent progress start a WIP thread in the noob forum. :)

I'm in the same boat as you. And the short answer is yes a scale of 2.0 will work great. I have my actual scale set at 2.164049. I am 6'1" and 300lbs. Like you I am a fit person and had to scale the armor much larger than the original scale. I'll be posting pics soon to show my progress.

In pd3 you are going to have to split some of the pieces. Then you are going to have to re-arrange the pieces so that they will fit on the paper. The actual box to use looks like a little blue box with a zipper on it. When you highlight it it will say divide/connect faces.

tnks Drakon .. u made my day hehehe i just finish my left bicep.. seems ok but i migh have to cut it a little bit so it fits tight or maybe is too big .. darnn this is hard .. im thinking the chest at 2.2 is what i need but maybe the arm could be normal .. what did u do ??/

Because of my body type I had to scale some pieces larger that others. Having a large athletic build can be hard sometimes. But I scaled the chest, back, bicep, and shoulders at 2.164049. This worked out great for me. I left the gauntlet, and shins at the original 1.9 scale. So far no problems. I'll be posting wip shots later on tonight. And if you have to cut the bicep because it is too tight, you might want to scale up a bit.

Hahahaha no what i meant .. was to cut it from the back and paste it again .. because i have some extra space there... hehehe yeaah thats what i was thinking .. going for the 2.2 on the chest and back shoulders ... the arms and shins do them on a lower scale

that's for the files man. I've started on the built. I'll post pics when I get to a point where i actually have something done.

Warning: I'm 5'10 tall with a muscular build. I used the default size which is 1.9. According to dubean, he is 5'9 and 1.9 scale should fit 5'9-5'11. 1.9 did fit to me nicely, but the twin shoulder pods are too narrow. I won't be able to wear a helmet with that. I had problems with thighs and legs. The legs are way too wide and too tall. The thighs are way too narrow and the height is a little tall. You may have to scale things differently, but the outcome may not look proportionate. The pep files need to be fixed or modified to be functional.

P.S. the new thighs are not posted. Download the complete leg from the first page and download the thighs. You will see the difference.

It seems to me that one could double-check this a bit BEFORE one prints the files off.

What I've been doing is taking a full-length photo of a model... and measuring / comparing it with myself, using proportions (math).

I'll admit that for the arm guns I just pepped, I skipped this comparison and just went with the same ratio I calculated for the chest.

And I am right now sitting down to "do the math" on the arms, so I may print them off and start pepping here in a few minutes.

But, honestly, this method works. I built a Robocop costume from scratch based on photos only... no pep files... two years ago, using this method. I worked off of photos of an old man wearing a replica costume. I knew the man was MUCH shorter and lighter weight than I was. So, how did I come up with a height value or proportions for the photo?

Well, I figured his WRIST SIZE was probably very close to being the same as mine. So I measured and figured a standard proportion to use from that. BUT, I also measured and and compared every single piece and body part, to double-check, as I built the costume.

Excellent "straight-on" (not shot at an angle) photos like the one above (although I wish I had the corresponding side-view as well) are a huge help with this sort of thing.

Umm.. I just pepped the back piece at 2.2, 30% increase from 1.9. The shoulder pods are still a little narrow. Juice may have the right scale on 3D modeling, but when it comes to pepping, I think it's different. the 1.9 shin guards are too wide on the side view.

Any ETA on the full helmet file?

Just spent yesterday and today re-reading this entire thread. I'm about 40-50% done pepping. I've resined a few pieces and I'm hoping to put in a long session or two later this week resining the exteriors and probably fiberglassing the interiors.

Well Since Sharkhead has been impossible to get ahold of, im going to go ahead and modify the files he gave me.. and make them peppable. The helmet files he was able to acquire i am almost certain (like 98%) are the files used in the iron man 2 website where you can go and "explore" the suits for both War machine AND Iron man. I accidently discovered this while watching the end credits scene of Iron Man 1.. Its the same helmet i have (seen here
) Pause it at like 4-5 seconds in and you can see all the intricate mouth piece details.. Identical. :)

This is war machine as it stands right now... I have to turn it into a lower poly model while still keeping as much of the shape as possible
