Ok guys and gals, I have a non picture update, sadly. I'll just list the things I have left to do, I need to pad the helmet, finish the seam on the cod, and re build a chest piece, to be a little smaller. Everything else is do e and ready for paint. I'll try to post up some pictures but no garrentess. NYCC is about 24 days away, and I'm so close to being done! Can't wait to have it finished. Happy building all.

Ok now I can say that everything is padded, plasti dipped and finally done. All that's left now is paint! I'll post some pics after the weekend when I have most of the painting finished. I'm poking to have the suit done by sept 30th so I should be on track!

This is awesome, and I'm interested in the templating method you're using. Do you construct the pep file entirely out of cardstock, then take it apart replacing pieces with foam? I'm confused on what you mean by you transferred the pieces to foam. Could you clear it up for me?

Thanks! Yeah it seems reach armor does looking really good with foam, yet just go hand and hand I guess.

Ok so what I would do is print out the template on card stock, I use foam template files that can be found all around. Then after cutting out the templates I pretty much like tack glue the edges together sorta like you would pep something. After that I make sure it fits and is a good size before takin it apart and using the templates to make the foam pieces.

My girlfriend Maltcup and I are doing the same thing, except we're not sharing an account. Good to see some other couples out there working on suits together! Your build has come along really well I'm building fiberglass armor, and ours is not NEARLY as far along as yours, but feel free to check it out feedback is always appreciated.

ok it's been awhile but id figure id update this. NYCC13 went off as a blast, and since after that ive been busy with life and the start of phase 2 of my build. but first ill post the goods from NYCC13.
most of these are from the NE 405th photo shot we had.
now after that i decided i had to make my own DMR as the Tactoynx studios one i had was heavy and some what fragile. made it out of foam and wooden dowles, with sheet metal in between layers for ridgedness.
^ My roomate holding it for size comparison.
the DMR is not done as im putting high powered magnics on one side and magnics into the back of the armor. more updates on that later
