When purchasing printed cards you would upload the file that was given to you, a PDF.

I'm not inherently sure what you mean by that, it won't let me upload a pdf or a svg. I pulled the images from the pdf as a jpg with whatever dpi they suggested on goprints

I have done many collector cards on GotPrint and they for sure accept PDF. It is the preferred format and will even auto detect the front and back of the card at the same time.

How do you get it to upload as a pdf? I've tried and it's definitely not accepting it.

This has come up a few times now, so here's a quick capture of uploading the file for future reference.
You'll notice after I select my .pdf it takes awhile after the loader disappears for the site to actually show my proofs which can make it seem like it didn't take it. I've noticed this sometimes happening when uploading the file. You also can go through the Browse Files > Navigate to file > Open route instead of dragging the file over. Just make sure you select the right options listed earlier.
