[Bentobochs]

Just finished my second pep helmet. First was the newhelm.pdo, second was the smooth helmet. Screwed up the scale with the first (24) and it won't fit me. I kept the scale at 26.4 and I can barely get my big old head in the thing. Looks like I'll be making a third. I'm 5'6" and I guess with a Charlie Brown scaled head. I will get pictures up when I get a new camera. Just found out that mine has a couple of parts on the inside that rattle when I turn it on. Hmmm... doesn't seem to be a good thing.

naa, its ok, im not going to anyways, i just knew there was a few people looking for a carbine, so i decided to do it. in fact, i would really like to see Robogenisis do a carbine after he is done doing those armor pieces. Great job on all your stuff so far, i continue to be impressed!..

my re worked smooth helmet is up now! heres a few shots of it.
i actually went all the way back to editing the 3d model... again.. hope you guys like it.

yes, all my helms are pre scaled to fit me. lol (go figure) im 5'11'' its an average height so i figure it works for the majority. if u need to re size it, the first post can help you find out how to do that

me too, im much more pleased , not just with the added fixes in the 3d mesh, but even the amount i learned in the process of last time doing the smoothing, it came out better this time, youll see, the plates on the top line up exactly to where the edges are supposed to be..

yes, its a bit much on tabs, but its not that hard to do zig-zag tabs, a very good example of how is here
under practical instructions, front tire, step one. (step 3 for gluing curved edges also)

i would strongly reccomend watching all of these videoes, because they are short and show some very nice papercrafting techniques,

this helmet is gonna be great! it seems so much better than the one in the pepakura sticky. Its so much smoother and has so many less pieces. This helmet isnt gonna take nearly as long as the old one! great job!

yeah im a noob here but i've made a few pep helmets and just printed out the human carbine and should be fiberglassing next week, so i'll post some pics soon...

yeah he was bugging me a while back for permission to add it in there

hahah my helmet has come so far since then, i should tell them to update it.. but that would probably mean ill have to go back in the model and add color to the faces. which i usually do, but forgot on the last few models.
