"DONUT" the ODST

I haven't made a costume in probably 7 years, and I've never made something this substantial before. Final leg pieces just finished printing. All printed on a Bambu Labs P1S using the Galactic Armory ODST Rookie files.

For the guns, I put magnets in/on the costume and guns to mount them for storage. Plus, the Battle Rifle barrels are attached on the inside by magnet so I can switch them out for display or different cosplay purposes.

Bonus almost finished Helldiver helmet with my WIP ODST helmet.

I had actually finished it in time for the convention, but forgot to update the threadView attachment 357763

it came out amazing!! Very realistic looking painting and weathering. I also like that you used some camo underneath your armor to make it more interesting to look at. I was going to do something similar, but with black multi cam. Again, amazing kit!

Chief looks great too ;)

Much appreciated, dude. I'm actually going to remake most of it to be more funtional/comfortable. When I repaint it I'm going to change the base color from Basalt to Anthracite.

That being said, I've got a full Multicam Black uniform(G3 style pants and ACS top) on underneath, so that's a pretty decent visual for you of what will be visible.

Gee whiz... Is Chief like 6'10" in real life... or are you 5'... or a mix of both? This is a real-life example of the size differential of Spartans and mere mortals.
I'm 5'10 and i think he said he's 6'7 outside of the suite, and 7 feet with it? I don't know how to tag people, but he's "The Big C" here.

Oh... And you tag by type an (at) symbol then start typing the name and a menu of matching users will pop up.

No problem man. Yeah the ODST armor was more so made to look cool, I don't think they thought any of us would be crazy to make it! I made my suit from foam, so luckily it has a little flex to it and it's super light.

And that's good to know about the undersuit. I'm going for a more metallic color on the armor, but with some blue/turqoise striping similar to yours. I like the more subtle accents for the ODSTs. I've seen people do a matte gray finish and also a metallic finish. I'm not really sure which is more game accurate honestly.

The reference material I've seen generally refers to their armor as "flat black" but that doesn't really hold any depth and isn't very interesting to look at(in my nobody opinion). Order yourself a can of Montana Gold Anthracite and give that a test. It's like, just a shade off from black, and it looks so good. I'm looking forward to the repaint, I just think the Basalt I used is too green depending on the lighting

Is that in a spray can? Do you know if it comes in a bottle for an airbrush? I'm building from foam, and spray paint cracks when foam is flexed. Airbush however is finer and will not crack with movement
