damn to actually see pics of hog and one that was fan built at that. Amazing. I always thought they were bigger though. I hope to build one in 1/6 scale soon enough though it looks like its gonna be an absolute bitch lol

"Real" Warthogs in the games are impossibly large. Ours is a fraction smaller than the Weta one which benefits from slightly wider axles and hydraulic suspension which can make the vehicle taller and shorter at will (the joys of big budgets and greater levels of engineering). A real Warthog would dwarf even the Weta one - says a lot about just how big those things are.

wow i never knew that. Looks like my own 1/6 version will have to be a slightly more realistic version then haha.

Btw do any accurate blueprints of it exist? If so where would i get them from?

But I must say, I cringed when I realized that the steering wheel of the warthog was on the left. Forgot about that little fact about Europe. xD

Cringed?!? Really? You say "cringed" like it makes it sound like to looks horrible or something. World culture guys. Things are different out there.

Like Peter said only the UK, not all of Europe.

Whew! Congats to the Op Chastity team for one fantastic Warthog, and what sounds like a great time at the Expo. I'm very excited about this film and all it's related props.

It would be cool if people stopped bringing up the steering wheel, I just don't see how it's a big deal. It's built how it's built, and it's got reasons for it. People can build their own 'Hog if they've got a problem with it. :p

Congratulations on rocking the socks off of every Halo fan in the world.. you have officially just graduated above uber-fan to a level that only Weta can compare.

So... when can we take a spin? :cool

It's just utterly breathtaking Peter. I've followed the build and it's still above and beyond what I thought was possible.. makes me want to quit making armor and launch headfirst into my own Warthog build.. if only.

Brilliant.

That's absolutely fantastic. Wait until traffic control pulls you over for 'safety concerns' while taking that thing for a spin up the M1 and then has you doing a photo shoot xD

You have one of these, Peter? You now have to put one on your car.. you're the first person who can can truthfully say this!

got a few little productions in the works just now.

there was a script floating about for a soldier medically discharged from the military, trying to recover from the aftermath of a "battle gone wrong" ive now been super-inspired to tie in the halo world in my own little tribute

we need more fan projects like this!

What license plate frame can he put on the Warthog? "My other car is a Scorpion"?

Amazing work on the Warthog, can't wait to see more! Drooling and oogling aside, I have a question. Is this thing street legal? And if so, we need some video of this thing on the highway for sure. (;

HEY WAIT A SECUND DA DRIVR SEET IS SUPOSD BE ON DA LEFT HURR DURR DURR

I would love to drive one of those around. It's gotta suck driving in the rain though.

Really great work. Can't wait for more progress. And if only you sold SMG casts :(

Actually the only European country that drives on the left is the UK. For a list of countries that drive on the left, see here.

Steering wheel talk is actually starting to genuinely annoy me - I wish some people could see past that and just see the accomplishment. We had a ton of issues that should have meant it didn't happen. It seems so petty and entirely trivial.

Don't worry about the steering wheel talk. Most would freak at the cars outside the usa.

GOOD JOB PETE.
