Hello, I used super glue and cracks formed after dropping some parts worked well for me.

(inside you can put a small piece of plastic for added reinforcement, this glue blends well with the plastic).

I have some experience with foam, but I never though of doing a helmet... Where would I start? Would I cut out foam in the shapes of the Pepakura and then connect them just like the Pepakura model?
I hope you can respond, also, wonderful build. don't know if this will work, but a buddy of mine had the same problem, his JFO cracked all the way around, so he used hardening epoxy in the cracks, making sure to overfill them, and then sanded it dry.

UPDATE

So I am back with a genius idea that might have saved my helmet. Okay so what I did is I took 120 grit sandpaper sprayed silver spray-paint onit then scraped it onto the helmet. Then for a duller look I did the same thing but with 60 grit sand paper:cool. After I did all of that I took a black marker and highlighted the cracks to give them some dimensions. I might do a video later-on on how I did the “Heavy Battle Damage”.

Oh and once I get some moneys I will get some more foam and book it on my build… well I have to if I want to take it to Comic-con AZ

Okay so I just finished my lights and putting the foam for my helmet
Now i just need to make the "Camera" and scree and some small vents then it is done. Oh all I have to do it with is a broken droid with no battery and a soon to be out of sirvice Blackbarry... HELP PLEASE!!!!!!! hopefuly i will get paid for baby sitting soon so I can get more foam and pray to whatever God is out there that I can finish for AZ comic con... I'm Screwed lol.

I suggest purchasing a utility pipe camera, they will run you about $30 but the camera is small and clear, and the screen should be just right for the size of the helmet.

Because I plan on making this helmet. I want to get some myvu glasses to go along with it. Kinda a spendy option but it would be cool!

So I have been away for a wile and in that time I was working on a helmet for someone as well as a "Secret Project" Now I wont tell you what im working on just yet but i do have a few pictures of it. Also I will be resuming work on my Reach build soon but for now here is what I have in store.

First to sucsefuly guess what I'm making and what piece this is gets a cookie

yes my secret project is a set of Halo 4 armor but due to some sizing issues I have to redo the chect piece but that is for another day, today I have been working on my FOAM/Hybred armor (Fiberlass Biseps, Rondo Helmet) but I have been working on my shin today

MY AB PLATES ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!
So this past day i was working on my ab plates (Files thx to L3X) i just need to add the strapping and put the spine plates on it. so tonight I hope to finish my 2nd shin and start to work on my belt piece after that i will need to get more foam so who knows how long that will take.

UPDATE!!!!
Okay so after starting on the belt and finishing my other shin piece I got sick of cutting out foam... for now. so I moved on to finishing my ab plates and for the longest time I could not find a way to put them on untill I relazed I could just attach them to my chest piece. So after a evening of work I present my Torso armor

Now me wareing it with the start of the belt

And finaly me just goofing off earlier in the day

Now i just need to add some small details like the front pannel thing. Some detailing on the back and some clasps to hold the flaps of the ab plate to the back plate.

P.S. I know some of the alignement is off and i will try to fix that

Any further updates on the project? This is looking good so far. Would you recommend the foam for larger, more detailed parts, for instance, a torso, instead of using cardstock and then strengthening, like how you made the helmet?
