Ok first off I would like to appologize for the delay on these pics. I worked late into the night and just didnt have the energy to upload anything afterwards.

After finishing my cutting, this is what I was left with.

Enough paper to cover my couch... a bit of a confidence slayer but i pressed onward.

I use the instructions in the pepakura folding sticky, and god bless the persone who thought that one up. It probly doubles the time it takes to fold, but It is so worth it. All the folds turn out razor sharp.

Kinda looks like apocolypse by geometry wars.

Now the one thng that I may have done uniquely is the way I have been sticking things together. On my first failed atempt I tried glue, it was messy and made the paper warp. This time around I decided to get creative. I started using a special kind of masking tape used for auto painting, it is used to apply an outline for airfrushing details like flames. It is very flexible meaning it can be forced into any little grove or crease and seems to be just sticky enough to hold but not to sticky to correct mistakes without damaging the paper.

Now I'm not going to get much work done tonight because i have work in an hour. But tuesday is my day off and i hope to get most of the helmet stuck together then. so expect more pics of the helmet coming together.

alright I have had some delays in assembling the helmet but am almost done. I did have an idea I wanted to run by you guys. After I have the helmet together would it be wise to give it a coat of elmers glue to keep it safely in shape until resined or would that interfere with the resin once its time?

Ive personally found that resin and glue arnt the best of friends and it prevents the resin from totally soacking into the paper. double posting is also a bit frowned upon, just a tip ;)
