Frederic-104 (Infinite style)

Hi all!

It’s been a couple of years since I posted on the 405th, a lot has happened since.

Previously, I had started printing (and subsequently scrapped) both Halo 3 and Halo Infinite versions of Master Chief armor (using Moesizzlac and Galactic Armory’s files respectively.)

Since then, I have abandoned the Master Chief idea since some friends and I decided to work on Blue Team together, I was delegated to work on Fred-104. I have gotten 3 more printers since scrapping my 2 chief projects, so this new project is kinda a long time in the making. I will post pictures later today, but as of right now, I have all of the armor printed and assembled and I am going to try to finish this by February.

For Fred, I have decided to go with Moesizzlac’s Halo TV series armor from and Halo Legends Fred helmet from Thingiverse. If there’s anything the television did perfectly, it is the armor imo.

First thing on the list was the arms. My printers managed to get both forearms on one bed and both biceps on another. I ran out of filament a couple of times so my forearms look like Spongebob Popsicles lol

It was maybe a month later when I finally found time to print the chest (this is going to be a common theme, massive time jumps lol)

Fast forward to yesterday, 6 months after doing the chest, I had the rest of everything all done up. I even cut up the helmet so that the "jaw" part of it would be a separate piece, just like the TV show props!

I ordered one of those plastic welder stapler things that melt parts together and got it in yesterday as well. I love same day shipping :D

That brings us to the (almost) present!

I melted all of the parts together last night, and today I went over the seams to re-inforce them with loads of 2-part epoxy on the insides, however, I messed up bad by buying 4-6hr epoxy instead of the usual 15 minute epoxy all because I wanted grey epoxy... darn...

(This picture is from last night.)

Nice to see someone else doing an Infinite Blue Team! My Fred build never panned out but I’m excited to see how yours goes! If it helps, Fred has a modified shoulders that have his knives in them, I could send you the file

That would be excellent! I was just going to model an insert to attach to the regular shoulder pads
