holy crap! what an amazing hammer. great work with the foam.

Amazing foam work, It looks brilliant, That's some dedication. :D

Wow, that's looking awesome! More, more!!!!

Thank you guys. Sorry that there have been no updates lately as working on my Ironman suit for New Year's Eve. But...I may revisit it soon as I will be buying some aluminium to reinforce the hand guard.

Tom.

I always get excited when I see you replied to this thread! Good luck on the IM suit, as long as you come back to this! ;)

Well you'll be glad to know that if the old ice making machine or dishwasher are still in the yard at work I am going to pull them to pieces as I think I can strengthen the hand guard with parts from them :)

Incredible foam work! The lights and the handle wraps are a nice authentic touch.

Thank you very much man. I hope to finish this project once my ironman suit is all done.

wow i know how long it takes to big this beast because i have one, plus brute shot, spike nades, and spikers too. now the fun part is gong to be adding some sound and speakers to this beast.

Ice Dish Hammer, has a...ring to it lol

Hopefully you can use them to get this bad boy strengthened.

Hehe!
I should be able to get it strengthened as I've seen what I need now :)

It would be cool to get some sound in it but I have no idea how to do that and the hammer head is all sealed up now so I will just have the fun of making the sounds myself. I am sure I can tap into my inner child for that :p

wowza! How have I missed this thread? amazing work, it's beautiful.

Thank you Hun. I think you may have missed it as it lay silent for ages while I worked out how to strengthen the hand guard. Plus I started my ironman suit and the hammer got left behind a bit. I will be finishing it of course but my Ironman helmet takes precedence over everything at the moment so I can start running off some casts.

Its back!!

Today I started working on the hammer again ready for a film. I put this on hold till I worked out how to reinforce the hand guard. Got the bits ages ago but never got round to making it so here we are.

The reinforcement is made from 2 aluminium plates holding 5mm thick aluminium bars. It will be covered in foam once I get to that stage.

Then I cut 4 holes for the 2 bars to slot into the plumbing pipe (will add bolts to stop it sliding in and out).

Update.

Got everything ready for painting except some small details on the lower part of the handle. I need some spray mount to put them on and got no cash so will have to flutter my eyes at my wife :)
Sorry for the crappy phone pic but of course when its all done I will do some real pics.

Amazing work on the hammer, drack. Everything from the scale to the details look absolutely spot-on.

Side note, I really like the wood flooring in your home.

Cheers man :)
You're gunna like flooring even more in the next month. I will be sanding them all down and revarnishing them. We just had the wall between our front room and dining room taken out and the floors are slightly different shades.

Update again.

Just the grip to do and then I can paint this thing properly :)

Another update of sorts. Did a crappy vid today here it is. Once its finished I will do a proper video of it.

Want to bring it to Georgia to match in the Dragoncon parade?

If I could afford to fly over there I would :)
