12 pages, cramped together. no overlapping, and its cut into fairly easy pieces.
yup, 29 is a teeny but big i think but then again there is some helms here thaty are 32 good thinkin on usin the other modelsSigma-LS said:Cool. I think 29 might be a tad big but I'm just average-sized. For scaling I would say it's just about on par with the Mk VI helm. So the Mk VI size tester should be a good tester for this too, or if you've already built a Mk VI, chuck the same assembled height in and you're good to go.
i could never get the scale to work for sum reason so i always went be assembled height. so if you work out how high you want it to be then u can jus use that. mesure the height of your head, add a bit for padding and off you go. of and yea, sigma sez the assembled heights are the same.damasterchief said:fs with your last finished mk VI helm i cant get the scale and its getting me really mad... is it scaled to your hight or mc hight? im confused... and also i wanna do your mk V helm and is it also the same scale?
well unless your skin i gray and your eyes are big and a solid black colour you should be grand. dont forget to do the tester first for the love of god! far too many people have had to remake the hd models.damasterchief said:im 12 i dotn think im normal but hey ill try it
exactly. 29? kewl n yea, its not that hard to reskootch it all.rvb4life said:dont always look at the scale for your size helmet. Check your head height first, and see if the model requires a few more centimeters than your size. This usually works well for me, and all of my helmets are the right size (except scout, but come on. im not messing with that.)
And i put 29 for the size because thats a few centimeters than most need, its about right for me, and if you dont like it, it can be changed minorly without losing the space and layout (i think)
next im workin on a personal request. no, i dont normaly do them but i was kinda toying with the idea of doing it anyway, ill up date you guys when its coming along.ltmcmuffin said:nice, what are you working on next?
btw, i finished your HD Mark VI helmet and torso the other day, just got to take pics though... (well, the torso is 95% or so)
here are the pics with Robo's HD bicep:
eh? i thought i sent em. ugh, the intertubes in work are being all screwy, ill get the link for u now.Keegan said:Squirl, please! I need the 3ds Arbiter files!

what? you didnt use flaps? how... what? hang on... howd you assemble it without flaps? what did the glue hang onto?ltmcmuffin said:Really? This is my first time messing with it, so i had no idea what i was doing, so i guess i got it right, lol...
I might be that i didn't use the flaps and just held the edges together while the glue dried...
rvb4life said:its just the edges that are glued side by side. thats actually really hard, i wonder how it turned out so well.
yay! my model is first posted! thanks FS!
TrintLord said:I have made models without flaps before, and they turned out alright. Though the best thing would be to reinforce with hot glue (which i think you mentioned) or whatever glue you used along the inner edges.
