Yeah unfortunately don’t have any desk space anywhere that I can put a printer. It needs to be up and out of the reach of little children I have and I don’t have that ability right now lol I do all of my crafts on the dinner table, and it’s quickly picked up every night even when I’m in the middle of making things. Wish I had an office. Don’t even have a place to put my custom desktop computers I build years ago so they’re in storage.I’m not sure how much room you have, but they really don’t take up a lot of room. I put mine in a dedicated spot on my desk. It takes up roughly 1.5sqft and stands about 29in tall. Just letting you know for future info in case you decide on getting one!
Ahh I understand. Definitely don't want the children getting access to a 3D printer. Not only damaging your print, but they can hurt themselves on the hot parts. Gotta make due with what you can (not saying foam is wrong lol). You're doing a great job!Yeah unfortunately don’t have any desk space anywhere that I can put a printer. Foam is always OG but definitely a safety hazard as well as a sad day if a print gets messed up from curious hands. Then the safety hazard to the little hands becomes me...lmfao jkjk thanks man! Should have some more updates this week!Ahh I understand. Definitely don't want the children getting access to a 3D printer. Lol it took me forever to get to mine so don’t feel bad lmao. Thanks for the kudos! Hoping it all lines up nice and looks close to the reference. The belt is looking sweet. gives me some ideas for mine (when i get to that point eventually XD)
Thanks Fox! I’m glad I helped reinforce an idea you had floating around. I liked the idea of doing that since technically that whole piece according to the Rookie guide is supposed to be a battle belt anyways. I’m trying to make it modular, practical, and still game accurate. Do you have a thread going already?? I haven’t explored yet to see lolYour belt work gives me a great idea on how I'm going to do mine. That's the idea I had in my mind but it looks good seeing it completed. I'm doing my med decal the same way as well as I don't have a vinyl printer. The laminate idea is perfect! I was planning to just matte clear but that's even better! Armor really looks solid!
Yessir I do! I really should have put some work into it today but I just haven't had the time. Thanks Fox! I’m glad I helped reinforce an idea you had floating around. Much appreciated Ang. I hit it with a hammered aluminum directly in the battle damage spots, covered it with toothpaste, smashed it with a chalk charcoal grey, and wiped off the toothpaste, as suggested by many a tutorial. Didn’t make it to weathering but when I find time to resume my build, should look decently battle worn.Great detail on the bullet marks! They really look like dented metal!
