WAIT! STOP if you already started! (Drumroll please ...)

Ten-Page Unfolded Version Here!

I took a wild guess with 660mm length (about 26 inches). Just in case anyone was in the mood for a non-Halo prop to make ...

Cool! mine's in a few days too! I'm still really happy with the ACR. Havent been able to print it though.

Yeah mine's in ten. I'm glad you like the ACR. Sorry you can't print it ... crap. I just realized I unfolded it in A4 format. Ooops. Maybe someone might be willing to fix it (I'm a little busy now). Anyway, for the good of your sanity, I'd advise not actually pepping all the merlons on top/side/bottom of the ACR and just scratch-building them with cardboard/foamies, plastic, etc.

WOW O_O Nightshade, those are really nice ODST pieces. I suggest using rondo with the Drywall mesh tape, think of it like rondo is concrete and the mesh is the steel reinforcing rods. And I'm glad the tooth past/ketchup method worked for you :D

Thanks! Hmmm, now that I think of it, you're probably very right about the rondo (although I'd probably just need resin on the outside of each piece - one or two coats). I have been using a little Bondo on the inside edges to strengthen them, but I bet Rondo would work much better overall, and save me some time. Could you (or someone reading this) possibly give me a tiny tutorial on mixing Rondo (I can try Google in the meantime)? I'm sure it's pretty simple, but I'd appreciate advice from anyone who's used it before ...

I kinda based my rondo off BenStreeper's rondo video.

What I do is: First I get a cheap plastic cup(Like those red ones that come in 100packs) spoon it in a little less then half way with bondo.(With my aluminum foil covered plastic spoon(So it wont get soft) And pour, about an inch or so of fiberglass resin in it, then I mix it, and put in about, what would be an inch of Bondo hardener(if it was on a flat surface) then mix it again. You want it to be the about the colour it would be if you where mixing bondo.(I have the red hardener BTW)

You want it Thick but not as thick as bondo, and kind of Runny but not as runny as plain FiberResin. Trust me you don't want runny rondo unless,,, that's what you wanted...

Sleepy post, if you want more clarifacation I'll post when I'm not as sleepy. Loll.

Yeah, I was gonna tell you, BenStreeper has an awsome rondo tutorial. It put off fiberglass forever. I kinda doubt you'll find that on google, cause it has more than one meaning, especially for people oputside of this community.

Thanks guys!

In case anyone hasn't seen, I made a med-def ODST pistol unfolded file and put it up as a new topic in the Weapons and Props thread, so be sure to check it out and tell me what ya think!

UPDATE TIME!!!

What do ya think? And any ideas on how to make that half-donut shape thing on the center plate?

I used the round part from Skullcandygirl's center stomache plate. It turned out pretty well. I re-unfolded it and pepped it, then cut it down to about half of its thickness, here are a couple of pics...

By the way, your build is looking pretty sweet. Can't wait to see the finished product!!

Just so you know, I think I messed up the ratio's(?) on my mini tutorial , you want around a 3-1 ratio(?) with bondo being the greater. And I also get my half-inch distance's confused with inch, so in my last post I meant half of an inch.

Also picked up some of that Drywall Mesh and used it with rondo, it's really nice and smooth. And a whole lot less annoying then fiberglass(NO FIBER'S!), the fact that it's also self adhesive is just,,,WIN edges are also way neater. You do have to put on about 2-3 layer's of it so the rondo/resin has more to grab onto, but that's not a big deal.

There located in the Building Material's section in HomeDepot buy some and you will love that you did.

So when I previously tried to make Rundown's helmet, the little rectangle on the forehead proved to be a tough piece to put together. The grooves around the rectangle were a real challenge to glue together. Is there a different file that has those grooves added to separate faces to make the process a little easier?

EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it myself :p

Hey dude, thanks for the pics! That's a great help! Hehhhh, is that a pepped M6C magazine I see in that first pic?

Roadwarrior:

Thanks for the clarification. I'm glad the drywall mesh works out, cause I have like 1000ft of it. Now I just need like two more cans of Bondo cause I'm almost out. Gotta get some soon, or progress could come to a halt. I think I'll test my Rondo-ing abilities on my second kneeplate, cause that's small and I'd like them both done soon.

I really hope to start work on my pepped helmet soon, even though all those grooves don't look as lined-up as they should be. Nothing a little Bondo and dremel won't fix.

I pretty much have both standard and close-quarters shoulders done now, just not the little plates between the upper and lower ones. I think I'll go use the rest of my Bondo and see how they turn out. Will post pics soon.

Actually, sort of. It's the magazine of an M6C/M6C SOCOM/M6G of my own design. It's basically the base pistol with interchangable parts to make it either an M6C (Halo 2), an M6C SOCOM (Halo 3: ODST) or an M6G (Halo 3). I'm in the final stages of pepping now and it's coming out pretty nice. Tough to pep, though. Here's a sneak peek...

Glad the pics helped some, waiting to see more.

Wow that's sweet! Could you possibly send me the top part for the M6G? I'd love to be able to switch from M6C to M6G! That's great idea and a great model!
