HALO 3 PEPAKURA By Slyfo

After you are done sorting out the inside-out ordeal, I was wondering about the scale of the actual pep files. I printed out the left forearm for a quick sizing and saw it was too small. I read the Ultimate Sizing/Scalling thread, but I was wondering if the chart in that thread applies your armor. If not, would you mind giving me a little advice on scaling the armor so that I can build it proper. You would be doing me a favor if you could. Thanks for all the files and time spent on making them.

Do you mind me asking how you figured it out? I looked at the chart on the Scaling Thread and your number didn't match up with your height. My apologies if I am asking a stupid question here. Thanks for the help.

DO NOT USE THE FINAL COLUMN
but instead get your height in cm, find the base scale multiplier for it and multiply by 19.157869

I'm not sure I got it right. You are 5'10 = 177'8 cm, so your base multiplier should be something like 0.825581395, which multiplied by 19.157869 equals 15.8163802142473 instead of 17.2

Using that formula for me, that am 168 cm tall, with a base multiplier of about 0.779069767 I got a scale of 14,9253165380465, which is too small.

I'll try now doing something like the following:

If 177'8 cm (your height) -> 17.2 then 168 -> X, where X=168*17,2/177,8 = 16.251968503937.

By the way, the part I'm using for my tests is the one in the file "lower torso.pdo"

sorry i forgot to mention

look at the width, depth, length at the bottom of the PEP window.

i saw that my number was too big and took a little off, and now it seems to fit.

just hold a ruler up to your forearm and measure it, compare it with the length or whatever it is for the PEP forearm

good luck. the forearm should be the easiest to scale. then use that for everything else BUT check that the # of cm's fits your body.

kk, for those who have scaling problems this is what I did. I am using the helmet for this example and keep in mind that all the numbers are specific to me. It might take a bit but it works well.

1. Grab the Halo 2 version and use the scaling sticky to find out what number you are.
- 71 is what I had.
2. Paste the scale numbers into the "Scale" box.
- 25.0497907 is what I had.
3. Copy the numbers in the "Assembled size (height) __ cm" box.
- 26.4 is what I had.
4. Grab the Halo 3 version and insert into the "Assembled size (height) __ cm" box, whatever number you had in step 3 (for me it was 26.4).

Like I said, all the numbers are specific to me. So find your own numbers and tell me if this works ^^.

Hey if posible could you make a ODST from Halo 3?

My respirator and visor arrived today, so I'd love to get started this weekend. Can anyone confirm they've made a proper helmet by just reversing the fold lines? It won't be messed up?

need help scaling the helmet...

what angle is the height, width and depth measured from? facing forward?

and, should i be scaling down the helmet?

just because he's 7 feet tall doesn't have to mean he's got a giant head....
im measuring this against my full-face biking helmet, and at my scale (17.2) it seems a bit small (i havent built it yet, im using a ruler)

I tried cutting up the pepakura in the designer to avoid the overly complicated visor.... I can't tell really what needs to be cut and what doesn't. Some of the parts on the visor seem like important parts of the helmet...plus the designer doesn't make the 3d view very easy.

Interestingly enough, there seems to be a solid thick red line around a. the neck, and B. the visor. The neck I assume is a line showing where the opening is... does the red line around the visor have anything to do with this? Lol...can I just turn OFF the visor? Somehow?

Calling out to Slyfo for the fixed pepakura!

Btw forgive me for asking, this question sounds really dumb to me but. Where on the armour is the gauntlet located?

That would be the glove :)
