Hello to the whole 405th.

This is my first build ever and on Foam as well so if I may do some things different than usually pls feel free to tell me ^^!

UPDATE 1: Torso

so I will go for this

I may change it a bit to my liking so be warned


NOTE: The Armor Project get started by me and my best friend but he isnt very good in English so i post about his armor there too (besides am a boy so dont get carried away cause of the pic or name )


I may should say i have already started this build at the beginning of 2013 so im sort of to 90% done with it, but i was always to lazy to post it but now its already time fo this.

The right Torso was a little too big so i had to make a new one. File is Reach Male Torso V4. Very great to build and detailed as well.
The fluffy thing on the pic is one of my 3 cats, his name is fussel ^^ he sometimes sleepes in the big one xD
I added some more pics and me wearing what i had on this point with my army of two haloween maske which is also eva foam made.

view of the ab plate and some other angles like Frontview and Backview

The Holes around it are supposed to be lights, I will make also light up the tights,biceps and ofcourse the Helmet
I changed the Center and made there the Initials of Starcraft 2. Not sure if I will make the Terran symbol on this one too... we will see.

next I wil Update for the Forearms and what tools i use and how. If anybody wants to know here I buy mostly my eva - foam

at the moment they are sold out but dont take the offer down. normaly the price for 6 mats a 60x60 is 35€ + 3-6€ shipping.
I found them aslo on 3 or 4 months ago Amazon but not now, hope they wil sell them later again.
To found all you need for an set of armor you will have to search a long time if u live in Germany cause many things you simply cannot buy here or it has a completely other name you need to find out.

UPDATE 2: Forearms

I already used the link in your sig and found some pages im reading now before reply something. The Forearms are the File: Foam Forearm Stencil.
Some few additions or changes I did on my own, the white and orange are different thickness of foamies to get the details right, for reference i used some screenshots to go with. You can simply draw the Details you want on the existing Templaters from Pepakura, so you get it right on spot and not to big or small.

This one was very helpfull for references.

Ok now Time for an Update

These are closely all the Tools I use for the build with Foam.

and these are some shots how I use them:

cutting for sharp and clean edges on Foam

cutting edges into foam with x-acto and cutter (Credits to Drack and his Tutorial)

if needed how to change the thickness of foam.
Note: the plexiglasplate i use is just 4mm and 2mm, you can set the thickness on what u want if u got the right plates or something. Sharp knifes are also very helpful for this!

after this for the Armor itself.

UPDATE 3: Biceps

I used some Magnets to attach the shoulderplates with the Biceps so its possible to change the Shoulders as you like at any time.
(In addition to that its pretty good for transportation if u got some bigger Shoulders ).

UPDATE 4: Shoulder NR.1: Hazop (Scratchbuild)

I couldnt find a File for this so i had to made it myself and heeey it worked

The second Shoulder would be the Commando from Carter, but this one needed to be build in the next few days.
I may get over the weekend some pics of the second Armor I mentioned in the Topic, so thats all for today guys. Stay tuned ^^

Ha Time for an Update I guess. So today as told

UPDATE 5: Cod/Belt piece

Frontplate and the 50% done piece. At last some fitting test

The finished Cod with Details ready to dip

I m not sure if this part should be a bag or something. But I found it could be very Interesting if it is one
Also its super practically useful for my phone and some other little stuff i need to carry around even in an armor.

At this point a great thanks to all viewers and subscribers on my build (And the ones who will maybe become one).

atm I m working on the Commando / Carter Shoulder but have to say i was not quite happy about the files which floating around, so I decided to make this also a scratchbuild piece.
Will post the finished piece asap and if anyone is interested the references i used for it.

The next Update are supposed to be the Thights. Ok now let´s sneak around to find some awesome builds

Thanks foxleader but i think i will make one on my own

For the Armor i will Update the Tights in the next view days. Meanwhile i got my hands on some liquitex colors like liltyrant did.
Soooo is there anyone who knows a bit about how to work with acrylics ?!-.-!?

i got a pencil and tried a bit and it seems ok
but if there are some better tools or technics like that anyone may push me in the right direction ^^ . . . pls maybe ^^!

So now the Update for the Thightzzzzzz ... (BAMM) WHAT THE ... ?! oh i fell asleep o0! (how emberassing :$) should go to bed soon but first things comes first. Ok again

UPDATE 6: Thights

From Template to the glued piece

Testfit / Size comparision and with added Details (2mm/3mm Craftfoam) I decided to make the upper Detail the Samus S from Super Metroid.
Have to say i love the Gameseries (except other M. really guys dont do this to a really exellent game) and the outcome on the Thights as well ^^

After Plasti Dip stage (Spray). Think this should be 8 to 10 layers of Dip if i m not mistaken.
By the way i found plasti dip in 3 Variants. 1.can 2.thinned down for airbrushes 3.undiluted.
I got number 1 and 2. i will try which one suits a foam build better in effect and cost. i will try to get number 3 also so i can make a full spectrum try.
But that will come later if i have some money for this left ^^

The next Update could be the Shins or maybe the MK-VI Helmet im trying to build out of foam. Hopefully it works.
