Here's a rough concept of an LMG variant of the AR that i did real quick.

basically extended mag, tac grip, and larger muzzle

basically extended mag, tac grip, and larger muzzle

cool idea. from what i know of guns you might want a compensator on the end of the barrel to prevent rise from recoil and a fore grip is cool and all but a bi pod is a much usefuller item

good idea .......them ARs have some kick(especially one with a large muzzle)

Nonono the muzzle is just the end of the barrel and would not be larger than the barrel and only increases in size as the barrel size increases to accommodate larger ammunition. seeing as a 7.62X51mm NATO has plenty of stopping power and an AR would require extensive modification to fire a larger round the muzzle diameter is fine. a longer barrel for more rifling to spin the bullet for a stabler flight might be in order.

On a side note the M249 SAW LMG only uses a 5.56X45mm NATO Cartridge Due to the recoil and heat from 7.62X51mm being to great to control on full auto.(look up the M14 and M60)

yeah i see guess where im getting at is that if the barrel end is bigger than it need more support...and by looks of it...it doesn't so it would be harder to control...unless you put weight below it....ah forget it

its the basic idea but its been modified alot since....to get a better idea imagane a Mkv helmet from halo CE mixed with a Mkv helmet from Reach
