looks good man i was thinking about the same thign with mounting a gun to the back really the best one for that was the MKV with the MKVI there is just no good smooth place to put it i have the Kill Bill swords so while im sitting around the house today i will mess with my Mkvi and see what i can come up with

It looks good. xD

If you're not wanting it to be on there permanently, why not take some tape of some sort (strong tape, though), and put it on the sword, then hot glue the other side of the tape onto the actual backpiece? It probably wouldn't work, but just shooting ideas to be helpful. :)

Then again, there's always Velcro. :p

I would think some kindof removable standoff plate to clear the vents on the back of the torso, and then mount a holster like a maglite holder with velcro closures to it at the right angle for right hand draw. You could mount it with a wood backup glassed into the backplate or fender washers to make shure it wont pull out.

Cheers!

For mounting the sword... specifcally the sheath or scabbard. That is tough unless the sheath is a perm mount. Being the molding/casting man you are... you could create 2 small (thinking 2 inch) housings that the sheath slides into, with rubber trim to keep it from sliding out, and mount those to the armor.

My expierience with the "baldrick" style sword sheath is effectively drawing the weapon, especially with limited range of motion.

This is a daunting task you have before you. Luck is wished in your general direction.

Question: Unless you plan on drawing the sword, would you be able to make a mold/cast of the sword housed, and mount the static prop to the armor? I've watched your vids... I think you could.

Or you could use something like these:

Find/make them in the shape of the sheath and possibly paint them to match it?

Basically screw them to the backplate, but they are easily removable. The only problem would be the holes left in the backplate, but since it is the Hayabusa, it would seem you'd want to use the sword every time you wear it, so it might not be that big of a deal.

O mi Gosh, you got teh KATANA, how did you get all those achievement points so fast? lol. Seriously, awesome work there. I can't wait to see that at your new display room! ( Still Jealous Btw. ) :rolleyes

It will be a static prop because i could not draw it completely but it works...lol. Please do not be jealous although I am jealous of some others on here as well...lol

Jealousy is such a strong word... How about admiration?

It would end up being static most of the time anyway. Its live steel, AKA at most conventions you will have to peace tie it.
