LOL! :D I know exactly what you mean. I knew about this program years ago but always put off learning it because at first glance it looks horrible compared to what I was used to. I've since learned alot of it and use it over my old preferred software now. I'll never go back.

It takes time and patience though. ;)

NOOOO (exageration intended) so much for learning, but that's the best I could get.... it is really confusing....

You mean armor? Am I building anything right now? No, not yet. I mentioned it in another thread I think. I have no space here. Always wanted to make something on a large scale but couldn't. Though I move to a bigger house that has a garage next Saturday! I know just what that garage is going to be for! ;)

I've got papermodel builds if you just meant anything besides design? Should still have some pics here somewhere.

Is that the sort of thing you meant?

Yeah I've landed on my feet with this move. There's even a room there for me to have like a study/boys room! Can't wait.

I will have something to show soon, just need to move and settle in. Can't come soon enough I tell ya!

Hi fellow paper modeler! This is great work for being on Metaseq, and its something we havent gotten to yet!
Now, do you by any chance happen to be working on the helmet? That would be something i would die for.

and i like that camaro, do you think i could have a copy? it looks so cool :D and i liked Transformers.

Keep up the good work!

EDIT: wow, i checked that website in your sig, that camaro is pretty difficult! i'll have to wait for it then....

Thanks very much!

I'm thinking about the helmet. I just want to see how this chest goes first.

As for the Camaro, just click the link in my sig. ;) There are some of the best papermodel around at that site.

EDIT: The Camaro isn't as bad is it first seems. It's in 1/12 scale so it's not too small.

I'm just getting dinner on for my kids now so no more time for the chest. I'll be free again all evening though so I'll be hoping to finish up the bulk of the modelling. There still a neck piece to do yet.

LOL. Don't worry about it. They're old models, not my best. Even the Boba Fett helmet I have there isn't great! Though I didn't model that, I used a mesh I found online.

Anyway, I have a spot of time here so I'm making some more progress on the 'busa chest. Just adding some detail that was pointed out earlier.

I have a question regarding the neck too. Maybe some of you more hardcore Halo guys can help? In the reference pics I have from here, the neck brace/ring looks like it intersects with the chests shoulder parts. Now I know this is common with games like this because of the objects clashing when they're animated. However, it leaves me with a small dilemna as to how to approach it.

Question: ShouldI model the nech piece with sections cut out so as to avoid this problem? Basically when built, the wearer would put on their chest armor, then slip this neck part down over their head and it would slot inbetween the shoulder parts. OR, just model it as a simple ring and leave the changes to be made by the individual?

I'll upload an illustrated pic to show you what I mean.

I figured that making these changes to the ring would be more favourable over having to cut into your chest armor.

What're your thoughts guys?

i would say not to do it, because usually the chest perm only goes up to the shoulders, so i would leave it.

And i remember your stuff now!!! Skip, is it? yeah! i remember!!!

you should tell Jon about this site, it could be cool to have him with us.

Yeah, I'm Skip. ;) I'm flattered I'm remembered. LOL!

Sorry, leave what? The neck piece altogether? Or just leave the cut-outs? Just want to be clear, it's good to have opinions and suggestions. ;)

Woah man! You cracking this out pretty quickly

Btw guy here's a screenie of it in pep viewer.

This thing could be super smooth if you changed the line configuration.

Can I help unfold, boyo? I would be honoured.

Keep up the beef man.

BTW. Isnt there another pepakura file for the Huybusa helm? But it hasnt been released yet. And it has a much lower poly count compared to NZ-TK's. Right?

Hey thanks!

How do you mean by change the line config? I thought it was pretty smooth already but if you have any inputI'd welcome it. :) Help unfold? As in actually unfold it? Or testbuild it?

As for other Pep files, I've heard of them in my short time here but understand that none of them are available. :( I understand why the creator/s may not want to release them but I'd LOVE to get my hands on a copy. Even if it were just to be used as reference to create one myself for everyone ya know. Any takers? :D :D

Though I know nothing about the differences between them. I've only seen a glimpse of one so far and that was on NZ'z video in his EOD helmet thread. Looks bad ass!
