it does look a lil vieny ...but i like the idea..you should've drawn the designs on the helmet and then glued over it....i think if you made it symmetrical it would make it look better...not knocking it till i try it though(havent made a busa , but i really like what you've done with this one) also with it being hot glue wont it peel off? its happened to me on primed surfaces , just curious

With the blessing of the GODS and Adam we will be casting this helmet this week. This is just a test of color really. I think it will last though. It has been painted over and clearcoated multiple times. Here are a few images of the finished helmet. Don't mind the images where you see my eyes, flash sucks. I really don't think these images do any justice. I also started working on other parts of the suit as well. Slowly coming along.

Hate to bother you with this but could you just show it next to a yard stick or something similar so I can get an idea of the sizing compared to mine?

the build hight is 32 or 33 cm i used the default for that pdo

EDIT: Im glad that chin is holding up i casted it really thin there and was meaning to go back but never got around to id

well well, not bad at all. what are you using for the visor? and is it always that transparent or was it just the flash from the camera?

thats funny just today i was thinking of using hotglue on mine and bam it looks awsome i though at first you used metal and welded the veins on

I dono man. It just looks like your helmet got really really angry and busted a vein in it's forehead. Otherwise it looks great!

The visor I used is the standard gold mirror visor. That was just because of the flash. The issue you will have with the visor is when you put the cradboard inside and make you stencil with a marker you will then cut the shape out of the visor (you can get 2 per visor). Now you will have to cut the visor you just made in half because the angle is more like a V then a U so in order to get the angle it has to be two pieces.

hey ithica did you use any stencils or anything to get the veins so perfect cause i was going to do it on mine but before resin so its more of a smooth look rather veiny and wanted to know how you didi it

Thanks for the awesome feedback. My wife feehanded the veinies...lol. She looked at the image and got hot with the glue. That is fully her.

Geez the smooth people are crazy, the hot glue idea was genius and I think it looks much cooler like that. Especially when it's painted silver

not yet. It is a plan in action. Just waiting for the supplies. I will post the work.

hey before you mold it are you going to add in the three dents on each side of the helmet where the rectangle thing sticks out if you dont know what im talking about look at rubes drawings
