Plus, when WinZip's trial version runs out, it doesn't keep you from using it. It just tries to get you to buy.

Also, Robo, (Can I call you that? lol) I was thinking about the visor. I know the votes already portray this, but if you modified the helmet to have a flat visor, it would probably help tons for fitting a regular motorcycle visor in. I've just seen a lot of people that have had to improvise due to the gap left by the little 'nose' piece that comes up onto the visor. (There's a name for it, I just can't remember it...)

That's what I was thinking. I might add a little bit on all the parts around the visor so you can shape it to the right size. :)

Ok a quick Tut on how to fix the lines step by step. Robogenisis if you don't want this here say so and I will delete it, just trying to help.

Step 1. Open the pep file select configuration, then line style configuration.

Step 2. select Edit for the valley folds.

last but not least save your changes.

It's no problem. :)

Anyway, the instuctions above are OPTIONAL. If you just use the short=valley, long=mountain, numbers on the outside, it will work fine.

I'm starting on the helmet today.:)

Here's the order I plan on making the Mk VI models:

1. Boots (Complete)
2. Helmet (Working on)
3. Chest Piece
4. Biceps
5. Forearms
6. Gauntlets
7. Belt
8. Thighs
9. Lower Legs

Then the other helmet variants

1. C.B.Q
2. E.O.D
3. Recon
4. E.V.A

Then the chests pieces in that order, and lastly the biceps in that order. (Unless I get the retail models before I'm finished, then it will be a different order.) :)

you shouldn't work on a helmet right now, there are MANY different versions of the h3 mark VI helmet made/ in development. You should work on something that someone has not already done a high-res of. Such as the biceps, forearms, hands, thighs, buttox/crotch, and calves. I am trying to remove the models from the game right now to somehow ;) give to the modelers. I love the feet btw. But why dont all you developers work together to make the ultimate suit? keep up the good work though :lol:

Just right click the ZIP file, and press "Extract All". Then follow the directions.

Thanks a lot!, I've never used WinZip before and I'm a newbie to the whole thing.

Scout helm exists. I have it if you'd like it.

@dylan Snyder
Yeah, I think was thinking the same thing about all the helmets. I love flying_squirrels helmet, but there are a few things I would improve. I think I'll do all the other peices first, and just refer people to his helmet. I'll be using his.
As for the "Ultimate Armor" thing, I think that would be awesome, but I just don't think that it will ever happen.

@Spartan 161
The Scout armor is part of the retail armor. The beta only had the Mk VI, Recon, EOD, CQB, and EVA. I'll be doing every peice of armor eventually.

@tonsofhoopla
I haven't release any models except for the boot so far. I'm almost done with the gauntlet, then I'll start of the chest.

@ Primal Weyland
Are you sure? Is it straight from game or fanmade?

I've decided to hold off on the high detail models for a little while in favor of making ALL of the basic Beta models.
This won't take long, maybe a week tops, and will include all of the MK VI, EOD, CQB, EVA, and Recon armor.

I just can't stand people having to make slyfo's models, with all their open edges, undeleted faces, and the fact that he STILL hasn't released all the files. Plus he says his computer is broken.

I'll just size it all correctly, delete and re-arrange the appropriate faces, and make sure the are no open edges, and release them. I'll release them all in one pack.

Yay! It's not that I don't eventually want to see a helm from you, but the fact that you'll be doing the other pieces first makes me happy. :D

What I love about your (and a few other's) models (so far) is that even without any bondo work, they're still guaranteed to result in awesome detailed armor, and not just a heap of polygons.

Really looking forward to see what's next. (After the basic beta models, that is.)

I'm almost done with the Basic Beta Models. I just have to finish fusing the CQB helmet pieces together (the helmet and little dome things), and fuse the armor variant shoulders with the bicep. The longer part will be unfolding them.
