Never made my post here, so here it is:

Name: Matthew Burkhart (Most of my closer friends call me Dante, though.)
Profession: I work at a store owned by my parents. It's a pawn shop/gun store. (Hooray for the south! XD)
Age: 20, but will turn 21 in December.
Favorite hobby: Prop building and video games.
Favorite part of Halo: The arrival of the Flood in Halo: CE. When I played that as a kid, I had nightmares for a few days. XD
Favorite Halo: Either Halo: CE, Halo 2, or Reach.
Favorite video game: Probably any of the Soulsborne games. They are amazing.
Other interests: Some select few anime series.
Favorite food: Anything from pizza to German schnitzel. Some Mexican food, too.
Favorite band(s): Probably Breaking Benjamin, though I like a LOT of bands relatively the same amount. Young Guns, Avenged Sevenfold, and FFDP, etc.
Favorite song(s): Evil Angel or Anthem of the Angels by Breaking Benjamin, or Towers by Young Guns.
Favorite Movie(s): V for Vendetta, Matrix series.
Favorite Actor: Keanu Reeves. For some reason, I just like him a lot. He's frickin' awesome.
Other: Umm.... My favorite anime is Puella Magi Madoka Magica, so I guess that counts as an "Other".

Favorite part of Halo: The story and lore. I think it's one of the most well thought-out stories not just in videogames, but of all works of fiction.
Favorite Halo: Halo: Combat Evolved.
Favorite videogame: World of Warcraft (been playing for 10 years).
Other interests: Prop-building/costuming and 3D printing.
Favorite food: MEAT!
Favorite movie(s): Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Forrest Gump, Terminator 2, Saving Private Ryan, The Coneheads.
Favorite actor: For voice acting, Steven J. Blum, but for regular on-screen acting I'd have to say Bryan Cranston.
Other: Unlike most of the people posting on this site, I'm not building a suit of Halo armor. I'm building a suit for another series instead: Starcraft. I'm half of a father/son duo that's building a Terran Marine suit for this year's Blizzcon. After my noobiness-to-the-forums period is over, I'd like to start showing our progress on the build.

Hobbies: Reading, editing, job-seeking, witchcraft, and cat. Mostly cat, my little baby Freyja and I are trying to cure each other of our crippling anxiety.

Halo: I've had to stop my Halo play through until I get Halo Wars in, so I don't have a favorite yet. I want to play them all in chronological order. Reach was so fun while I was playing though. I like the freedom to make up a story about Noble Six, why she chose the armor she did (bright construction worker orange, because teammates kept killing her with Warthogs), her weapon choices and fighting style (Covenant weapons and beatings, leaving conventional ammo for the marines in her squad who had been trained to use one gun and one gun only and using hand-to-hand to draw fire and disable shields... And because it's fun). I'm not sure the Master Chief games are going to be that fun.

Other interests: Overthinking characters in video games. To be fair, I was a psychology major with a focus on gaming. And WTNV.

Favorite music: Rise Against, My Chemical Romance, Why the Sun Shines by They Might Be Giants, arias from Carmen and The Barber of Seville, more Mozart than Beethoven though. I love Lindsey Stirling.

Fan communities are interesting, and this one seems particularly creative. Thank you for opening your doors and sharing your projects.
