This CNC plug is made of 18lbs sculpting foam. The block in front of the visor is not a problem. We are going to replace it anyway. The ears are going to be moved forwards slightly. The chin shape will change ever so slightly. the lower back of the helmet will have a slight shaping done to it. The neckplate will be redone from scratch since the CNC didn't pick up the shape very well.

This model worked out so well, we are ultra happy with the CNC output. I'm looking forward to working on this. Wish we had some time right now.

Personally i dont like the Halo 3 ODST helmet and armor. To me it just looks to rounded and the jaw line change just looks weird. Other wise I have complete belief that you guys will make this helmet look amazing.

Here are some pictures from today. We've sanded a ton of the height off the helmet. We sanded off the "ears" and scored new lines into the dome.

Yup, I believe you saw my sig. I am a co-worker of BishopX's and a big fan of his projects. I am also helping Legendary Armor with some projects that will surface some time soon .

We shaped the dome of the helmet so it would appear tapered from the front. The profile was also altered significantly to decrease the actual size of the helmet. We are adjusting some of the lines since we've altered the overall shape of the helmet.

Yeap.. I make all my models in C4D, then up the mesh resolution and do finishing and light detail sculpting with Zb. all the smoothing was done to the odst helmet with Zb3.1..... which bishop is now sanding off....lol
