Man, I wish I would have caught this thread sooner. I have a great file that works as structure and bracing for the thighs you built. It looks like they came out fine regardless.

Also, I really, really hate being the one pointing this out, but the shins are too big. They look very well made, but they're oversized by probably a good 5cm or so. I'm worried that when you get the boots under them, the shins will be pushed up so high, they will overlap the thighs above the light ports. Again, sorry for not catching this thread sooner.

The rest of your armor looks spot on and is very well done! You know what you're doing. Keep it up!

Hey. thanx for your reply.

Yes i had some worries about the shin but i totally shut off my brain when i was rondoing all the stuff ... mhm lets see... if its needed ill rebuild them .. its not the world if it doesnt fit.

Any other things to mention?

Thank you . i rly appreciate that since its my first time working with those materials ! :)

No, man. Like I said, the rest of the armor looks like it's scaled perfectly, your pep-work, resining and fiberglassing/rondoing skills are great. Other than the shins, this is looking awesome! If it makes you feel any better, the first pair of shins I build for my Mk VI looked exactly like those, way too large. I even resined them before I realized it.

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiig sigh :(
Well even if its hard and after 3 times making my biceps and like 4 times my helmet ill have to stand up and remake the shins -.-'

Ill go on my attic and try them one more time on. and make a pic maybe .

But thanks at least you told me now :O iwouldnt have noticed it yet D:

If it helps at all, the shin should start about 1 or 2 cm above your ankle bones (since the boots will easily cover that area) and extend up so the top of the shin armor lines up with the top of your kneecap. When the shin is the proper size, it makes for a tight fit. You can get them on by essentially putting them on backwards, then spinning them around 180 degrees once they're on, and to take them off, spin them around 180 degrees and slip them off.

i made some pics

Since i have small feet / really small for a guy / it may work . u see the boots will be the size of the mk6 and its covering my ankle bone. and if i move up the tigh as much as i can it works . I can totally pad it from the inside. maybe its a bit bigger yea but maybe it doesnt look that bad ?

what do you say ?

Yeah, it's that last picture that worries me. With the boot, your shin will only be about 2cm, maybe 3cm lower than that, and it's covering the front portion of your thigh armor. You wouldn't want the rest of your armor, which looks great, to be overshadowed by something that sticks out because of something that's wrong with it, would you? Ultimately, it's up to you, but if it were me, I would rebuild.

I will totally keep that in mind i thank you for your attention and your eagle eye ! :)

but first i will complete the armour ( boots and one biceps missing) then ill decide. i wont be painting the shins neiter bondoing them just to leave that in case they are too big .. they are pretty big but if i have luck it will just look like i have massive shins . ! :D i will really pray it will fit ( hope my small feet will pay off this time! )

It is my greatest shame to admit that I had not given any attention to this thread before...but now that curiosity got the best of me, I am blown away by the quality of your work so far. Truly, this project is gonna look great!

I'm curious about what color you plan on making it?

To enlighten you : The spinal thing is S - M and my size : 1,80 meter
