nice lee thats sick thats going to awsome and are you makeing a selecter switch like an m4 or does the BR have its own type of fire selecter that i havnt noticed

New lower receiver casting with 95% less suck! It's from the crappy mold I'm rebuilding and has more of a seam than it will have but it's passable. Sleep is good.

Seriously - WOW! I think you meant to say "Now with 95% more win" if such a thing is possible...

I do run a government-sanctioned, fully-secure disposal facility for excess casts so, you know, feel free to contact me if you need some assistance with any casts that you aren't completely happy with... :D

I'm sure Ithica has had his fun with the first cast and is dying to get his hands on this one!

Looks smooth as a baby's bottom. Congrats man!

That looks amazing dude. Quite honestly i don't think there's any way i'd be capable of making something like that. Which is all the more reason i'm just blown away by how awsome it looks.

Nearly there. Real Soon Now.

Embedded in clay. It took A LOT of clay.

Rebound 25 and Plasti Paste backup.

That is a beautiful mould - I can't wait to see the end result... :)

How did you get the clay embedding so clean? Is there any way (without wasting an additional silicone negative) to use a self-setting liquid or to liquify (safely) an oil based clay to create the embedded base? I would be surprised if something like that doesn't exist - cheap, disposable, and pourable... Maybe an alginate?

Its really easy ;)

You just get your clay out (normally water based clay) and just give it a good couple of whacks with a rolling pin. Then you roll out the clay till you satisfied with the height. Then cut it into pieces, and embed you object into it. To complete it just rub it with water and smear out the lines of the pieces of clay.

This is how we do it over here, but im sure Rube did it another way. Because i cant detect any line's what so ever!

Rube you did a marvelous job! Very clean, nice registration keys!

That's what's killing me - it's just... so... CLEAN! It almost looks like it was poured into place... :not worthy:
