lol that's ok, we like to see pics xD
well done on the build, you have almost everything pepped =D keep up the fantastic work =D
thats funny cause I feel like I'm missing a lot of stuff lol. Probably because theres few pieces that im 110% positive I do not need to re-pep.

OK. So i half pepped the new boots, and its mighty large, but IDk.Anyway I attempted to try everything on with what I'd pepped so far and this is how it looks.

I was planning on re-pepping the calve and might re-pep the boot to a smaller size, it looks really big on the rest of the suit in my opinion.

PS!! Please tell me if you think anything looks out of proportion

I like the way it looks so far! It seems to really be coming along. Good job. I do think that the boot is a bit big. I may have just missed it but, how did you find the scale for it? Also, it looks to me that the shin might be a little bit small. I only say that because of the distance between the bottom of the shin and the top of the boot. As Longshot-X told me, it looks really good to have the same amount of space between the two pieces of the boot and the boot and the shin.

One more thing, I noticed the way that you pepped the boot. You left the small, more difficult details for last. Who knows, it may work great for you, but in my experience it's easier to do those kinds of things first rather than trying to manipulate the entire piece to get that little piece in place. Just an observation :)

Like I said, great job!

thankya, and I found the scale (or tried finding the scale) through a trial and error process. After pepping parts of two boots unsuccessfully I looked at the piece of the boot that would be the bottom part of the toe in pepakaru viewer and scaled the rest of it based upon how large the bottom part was to my own shoe.

I'll try to remember to get you some better pictures of mine tonight. they're going to be a bit wide and tall compared to the shoe. Remember that Converses won't be the same as boots. I plan to fill mine with expanding foam to hold them in tightly. Well I have a bunch of plans, lol.

I think the important bit is really how they look compared to the shin.

wow, great progress since i was here last. great stuff! nothing looks out of proportion. if you feel like it does, dont worry, the stuff is supposed to feel big.

wait are you getting more pics of your shin or of your boots? And I have yet to buy a pair of boots for my costume ( I really have got to get on that.. maybe this weekend if im not to busy really depends upon the shin to shoe size relation. I personally think that suits look cool when they have big boots/shins cause female spartans in reach have kinda biggish boots and shins compared to the rest of their suits. At least from what I've noticed.

Pics of the boots. Pepped pieces over actual boot versus pepped pieces over my Converses for comparison. Just to maybe give you some idea of the differences.

Good news! I hit up K-Mart today and found some perfect boots to use for my build. They were only $20 and they fit pretty well.

The bad news is that I cannot put my foot into my shoe while it is in the boot pieces, so I will have to find some other way to get my shoe+foot into the boot pieces later on. I was thinking of some sort of hinge system?? Although Ive never heard of anyone else running into this issue. If anyone knows a way to solve this thatd be great, thanks!

Most of us separate the boot into three pieces. The toe, the heel, and the lace guard.

You can see the pattern naturally in the heel section where the guard wraps to either side.

Simply split the piece after it is hardened and use some sort of clip system to attach them after you put the shoe and your foot in. If you need more detailed directions just PM me.

Wow, This build is looking great! I'm looking forward to seeing it fully completed. Good luck of completing it all.

doh, thats perfect! Thankyou so much for the pic/instruction. (nicely done boot by the way!) I guess that I'll just be cutting it after it is resined/fiberglassed

thankyou for the support

So, I've been very busy in the past 16 hours. At 2 in the morning I decided to pep my new shins that would actually be long enough for me, finished the right shin at 4:30 am and did the left shin just this afternoon.

Just wanted to throw some thanks out there to Halogoddess for unfolding Crackhead's Mk VI shins into better fitting, female shin pieces-If anyone is interested in seeing more of halogoddess's female-unfolded piece theyre right here
-And also thanks to Bexi for helping me figure out the correct scale of my shins (You were right on target with your guestimates Bexi, I scaled these at 422mm high and theyre pretty perfect!)
So thanks to those people again for their help
