hey, dont beat up on a sony fan, i have a crappy 1st gen PS2, and you are complaining about her getting a PS3?

and...uh....FYI.....oh wait.....sony tried to screw us by only having ps2 backward compatibility with an 80GB, so i guess.....oh watever.

deal with that however you want.

personally, i dont really care for ODST armor, but i might just download these files for the heck of it (and maybe even unfolding)

Yeah I kinda retired buying of all Skullcandy stuff after my headphones bit it. I had pink hahaha

Sennheiser has always been good to me :)

The models look excellent as always! I think these files should make this a fun build, not overly complicated but still nice and detailed... I'm looking forward to it :D
Congrats on the nomination as well

I love watching RvB, and lately Arby n the Chief... Anyway back to business!

Skullcandy i'm posting here because I asume you'd know the answer to this question.

NZ's ODST helmet is 24cm high standard, surely this is either:

A.) A normal size head and I just have a giant noggin.
B.) A template.

>_> I may have to resize and then layout the separate pieces again. Still I got some glue today. :)

That is undersized... A better size would be 28 or 29 cm tall.

But a new one is on its way, simplified for pep... not much longer now. It will be unfolded and far easier to assemble than the current one.

Mmmm yes, I did measure my head and although I've been told I have a large head it was by my parents... I assumed therefore it wasn't an actual anatomical issue... :p

28-29 works... Thanks yoo. ;)

Who wants a brand new NZ-TK Halo 3/ WETA ODST helmet?

H3 ODST Helmet - Letter Size
H3 ODST Helmet - A4 Size

Much easier... the ridges and grooves have been taken out, so they can be easily filed into bondo afterwards. Overall shapes were made a little more pep-friendly, and there's now a visor to hold it in shape.

This file is scaled to 29 cm tall. That is really close to the WETA size helmet, gleaned through careful mathematical equations and such. There is no scaling formula for this yet; that's close to the real size of the helmet and that's all I know.

If you want to see it built, check out my WIP thread: New H3 ODST by Ruze

Huge thanks to Skullcandy Girl and NZ-TK for letting me work on this project with them, and major props ( ) to NZ for allowing me to mess with his awesome model.

ahhh this is torture! now i have to sit through the rest of school thinking about this helmet and not being able to build it! im printing it out as soon as i get home :D

:)
Thanks!
But I've got the easy part of it, you guys are doin the hard stuff. You 3d modelers rock!
Im just happy to be helpful and involved in the ODST project.

And thanks again NZ, it was a blast to mess around with that helmet.... good way to learn the basics of 3d real quickly.

I was sitting here feeling pretty pissed that my card was too thick for my RECON project but now I can't wait to run down the craft store and get me some proper cardstock for this new file. Muchos Loves, <3 ODST.

I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD-457s that I've replaced the wiring on about three times over 5 years- they're still kickin' the killer bass on my head right now.
