If worse comes to worse, just flip one of the files and Tada you have a left and right shin!

To flip the pattern do you mean apply the "flip pattern" option under the 2D pattern window settings? Bcuz even with this option enabled the 3D model still is the right thigh. Does the 3D window need reset or does it even matter?

thats exactly what it means. You may have to double check the parts, but it usually works for opposite parts.

Also, I've finally started my set, its a good thing that i dont have to scale this any more, my height is 5'11".


i still dont know how the visor is going to get done, though. any suggestions?

I plan on making the visor w/ pep and bondo it, then using a vacuum former and some clear plastic to make it clear.

I'm not really aware of other ways...

Car tint'd probably do it. Fabric dye, too...

Rube had a can of stuff they have in Europe that sprays on really dark, see-thru black. You could try digging that out.

I'm 176cm, I believe that's around the 5'10 mark. You can always re-scale it and re-arrange the parts. I'm building that tonight I'll let you know.

EDIT: You better re-scale it, to atleast 50cm for 5'10. it looks alittle too big. Looks like I'd better release another unfold!

Iam 6' 4", And like you I have a bad relationship with math.......we had a fight and it left.....took my good shoes and my watch lol.

hey i don't know if this is a lot to ask but could you add some support struts to the files as well? resining the torso is near impossible without warping. I understand if it's too much work. Thanks for the files though! wonderful

A normal ODST is about 5'8", but I suggest not scaling any of the parts since they are designed for us normal humans.

Just want to let you Guys know that i'm still here. I'll be doing a release of the Torso piece amongst other things, I'll see if i can add support bits. The Recon parts I was going to do, may have to wait. Because I want to try my hand at the Halo Wars Stuff, the Marines Armour and such.

Yes, or you can use blue-tinted visors, and use a heatgun to soften it up and shape it to perfection. (Thanks to Sigma LS for this tips!)
