Planned Halo Reach Jun build

Hello !

I am new on the forum as a poster, but I have been reading for a long time. Way back in 2009 I had a Master Chief armor:

I was planning to make myself an ODST, but after almost be done with the helmet, I decided to go for Jun from Halo Reach.
Here is the ODST helmet I have done Just need a visor and padding):

As for the Jun armor project, I only have the helmet printed, so it will be a winter project, I will take my time.

A mix between some palm sander and by hand with 180 and 220 grit. There is still a ton of sanding left to do

Yeah I bet! can't wait to see the rest of the build as it unfolds!

I was going to but I just recently finish the game and at the end (2 missions I think) he use the M392 Designated Marksman Rifle, so just to have an easier time in convention, I will go with something a little smaller.

Yeah, don't realise how big the sniper really is till u see it in real life...

Halo lore puts it at 1.66 metres long!

For the Jun armor I am not yet set on the paint, I will need to do some reserch. But for the ODST i used these paint

Oohh okay! Did you have any issues using the two different brands of paint? I know sometimes different spray paints react negatively to each other

Oh I know a lot about bad reaction with paint hahaha.

I did planned ahead on the masking. Each paint was directly on primmer. I didn't mix any paint over the other, especially when they are different brand.

1st layer of primmer done on the helmet and bought some visors too.

I was not planning to post this because I wanted to have a little more finish but, progress is progress.

Added the second visor, a clear coat and the small lenses. Next is the details and weathering. Pretty happy with the result so far.

Oh the layered visor has such a COOL effect omg! I might have to try that when I get to my stage on my helmet... The paint looks really cool as well, I love how defined the colors are

Thank you ! I am just doing the same thing I did back in 2009 on my Master Chief. Back then I used a clear one on top of the mirrored one.

Here we go ! The helmet is "done" as in the exterior is complete to my liking. I still need to do the padding.
