That sounds backwards Leiutenant Jaku , the first one is super short, the second one takes quite awhile just to get through all of Wheatley's dialogue.
You're right, TurboCharizard I beat it. Anyone want cake?
Sorry for the derailment electricknite I'll let you get back to making great stuff.
Btw, my favorite Portal quote after the replay is "The party escort will be despatched to escort you to your party. Assume the party escort submission position or you will miss the party."
They came!! Yayyy they look so good thank you TurboCharizard
I also got the shoulder patch attached. Its made of marine vinyl so I'm hoping with the snaps it will hold up my bicep armour.. Here's hoping.
I'll just sand and paint these little greebles and attach em on real quick.

I am so close to being done this suit. Only the last bit of hand sewing around the neck and then the crotch snaps and thats it! No more sewing.. For awhile anyway.
The clips turned out really nice.
Instead of making leggings I ended up buying them which means I can't really sew any detail to them. BUT I'll still have all that knee detail by making the knee pad elastic wide enough to sew the detail onto. I won't have to sacrifice my nice new leggings to the cosplay gods Mwahaha. Also this will be way easier.
Finally started fibreglassing. There is no way this is getting done for the convention. Oh well, I don't like rushing anyway.
This is the first time I've ever fiberglassed and its really messy..
I wasn't thinking and fiberglassed the chest first.. Which was dumb, I got too many bubbles and its just a mess. I was going to fast and worked on too big of an area at once with pieces that were cut too big so I'm gonna repep it again and take it slower
Edit: I've been reading PerniciousDuke thread and I'm gonna try sanding and grinding my mess of a fibreglass job and see if I can salvage it. My goal is to make this not so unecessarily heavy.
The only reason to repep imo would be if it warped bad. Little bit of non symmetry can be fixed with bondo, but lots will be a challenge. If the only problem is air bubbles then you're fine. Dremel the bubble out and just apply more resin or if you're concerned about rigidity cut a little circle of glass first and then re-resin.
Edit: I too missed my first con deadline. Trust me, there will be others. This method does not allow for easy improvements. Best to take your time now like you said. You're doing great!
I feel terrible about not working on this project all summer. The fibreglassing was discouraging me and then I got sidetracked with lego and house stuff.. and video games.. but that's not even the worst news. I lost all my footage from making the undersuit. My hardrive crashed and is unreadable. At least I documented the process in writing sort of but its really disappointing to have done all that work filming and editing and have is all disappear...
Part of me wants to make the armor out of foam now but I know I'm no good at it because I don't have the patience for it. Pepakura I do.. for some reason... I really wish I had more of an update but for now.
This is so disappointing... Alexa play Despacito 4
construction is scheduled to resume once my backyard is finished.. so like 2 weeks. and to make up for losing all my footage and not being able to deliver the video I promised I'll take many detail pictures and do my best to do a written tutorial on this one with all the pattern pieces I used, so If there's anything specific you like an explanation for let me know...
No probs man. I had 4 weeks vacation and probably worked on my odst suit a total of 6 or 7 days. I also had video gaming, work around the house and wargames models distracting me.
