Another quick question, what type of resin should I get exactly... epoxy, polyester, or vinyl ester? Judging from the descriptions polyester based seems to be the best fit. Is that correct?
Glassing the inside of the MC helm looks difficult, to say the least. I mean, how does one glass the brim above the visor?

I won't lie to you, it's rather a paint in the arse to fibre glass it but try this:
usie a small brush to spread elmer's glue into the visor making sure to coat it entirely(but thin)
fold your fibre glass to fit into the space and then use a regular screwdriver to stick the glass into the corners
when the glu dries your glass should be stuck in all the edges
after mixing a good batch of resin pour that straight into the visor and swish it around to try ur best at evenly coating all the glass
If you are still a bit unsure about everything being coated either pour a second coat or bursh another one in (although this may be harder)
i heard sumthing resin makes tape dissolve making the sections fall off and ruin the armor. well should i tape it up from the inside and resin the outside or can i resin with my tape on top still.
PS - i used the plain transparent tape
To use resin on a taped model might eat the tape either way, I found resin is the best way to go using a pep that has been rubber cemented together. I suppose Layering the outside very very thin might work then going over it, but I still think rubber cement is the only way to go if your resining it after.

I dont see y you wouldn't be able to. and that is the right kind of respirator.
When choosing a respirator just make sure you don't scimp on it since it is your lungs. Get one with a interchangeable filter because some particles are finer than others depending on what it is that you are doing.
i just bought some of the bondo fiberglass resin and fiberglass cloth, and does it matter which fiberglass u use cuz i have a woven type fiberglass, different to the tutorial, but dont have any choice cuz i dont have a walmart and thats the only thing they sell back home...
furthermore, i used masking tape to hold together my pep helm, if i fiberglass the helm, will it fall apart, or will i have to glue it instead of taping it?
'Glass cloth is a lot eaiser to get into corners and small spots than mat, cuts better too, less small particals
masking tape is not good against resins, tends to give up rather easy.

I was a chemist in college. We weren't allowed to wear contacts (this was 20 years ago) because the lenses are semi-permeable membranes. Conceivably, chemical vapors could pass through the lenses and collect on the cornea side in concentrations that could damage your corneas. I would recommend glasses behind the goggles.
can u buy just the Hardner seperately? my freinds helping me out and we chose the same one because he trusts Bondo alot but were almost out of the hardner
8 inside layers and 3 top layers
and were doing 2 more inside and out and a layer with the strips lol
