^__^ I feel warm and fuzzy now. <3 thankyou. Her helmet is what sold me. Coolest helmet ever. o.o
Haha, you should totally do it. Take bets from people here on how many rolls you'll use. haha.

looking good rox, I really need to get over to your place sometime soon-october is always a crazy month for me though. I can't wait to see this in person. Perhaps if I can shake my halloween hangover I can make it sometime this week!

^_^
Yes you do! We miss you! Just let me know dude, and have a nice tasty, cold glass of water ready for you (and some advil if you're hangover isn't gone yet...) lol. I have one condition though. You have to bring your armor. ... and wear it for me. XD Picture tiiimee~~

Wow the craft foam is looking awesome! Can't wait to see more. I bet that's gonna be a ton more comfortable and lighter to wear rather than the bondoed stuff !

Hey roxy I have a question and it is how hard is it to construct armor using craft foam

@Alphadragon09: The construction with craft foam is reasonably easy. It's making the pattern that gets you... Of course, every other MJOLNIR permutation out there already has patterns (pepakura) EXCEPT Legends. I lucked out on that one. I'm sure if you made Mark VI or Reach, it'd be loads easier. Making armor out of foam only recently became popular here, but it's been the main armor building material for cosplayers for almost a decade. There's lots of tutorials already out there on the web. If you have the pattern, all you have to do is trace, cut, and glue. There's lots of little tricks you learn as you go, like how to cut a 45 degree angle with a scissor. Speaking of scissors, one cut and you're done. If you get a slightly "off" edge, either you deal or cut that piece out again. >_<;; In the long run,

Without a doubt! Craft foam is rather flimsy, but even once you back it and seal it properly, it's still loads lighter than bondo and fiberglass.

Hehehehe.... My Arizona History teacher had his friend bring in guns from the 19th century. Lots of guns. Colts, a Remmington, some shotguns and rifles (including a 2 Winchesters!). Naturally, I got inspired...

My teacher (on the left) is the Arizona Historian, Marshal Trimbel. He's quite the character. I love his class because we listen to stories about cowboys and indians for 2 hours. lol

I drew my spartan (I call her Runt.. cuz I'm short) on the left. After I drew her, I went and drew my friend TheRick46's spartan, Junior on the right. He's really tall...

Your artists to ?? That sketch looks like you snagged it out of the legendary reach guide:) It looks really good !! So what are the weapons of choice for Spartan Runt I can’t quite make them out . Have you come up with any ideas on a visor ?

That's cool that marshall trimble is your teacher, I read arizoniana until the covers fell off as a kid. I'm a huge history nerd, and we have some great history here in arizona. Your concept art looks great as usual, looking forward to the next time I get to come over and build something.

Looks like she's holding a shotty. :D I'm gonna guess that it's a DMR on her back? That's what I would have. <3

That was my guess on shotty . It’s always good to ask questions like that and assume nothing, especially with a female Spartan. If offended the probability of them using their weapons on you are very high :D LOL

LOL!! Yes. Beware female spartans. >w>

Heck yes. that is totally a shotty. <3 If I can't have a sword, I try to have shotgun. I'm having a huge battle on deciding my secondary weapon(s), but yeah, the one on Runt's back is the DMR. As for being an artist, I've been drawing way longer than I've been costume-making. I'm actually working as a free-lance illustrator for a movie right now, which i'm excited for.

@Rosh: Too bad you don't live close by. His class is AWESOME. I'd tell you to take it even though you're already graduated. In fact, you wouldn't be the only one. We have more non-college students in my class than actual college students. lol

Very nice work thus far can't wait to see how it comes out. :)) Kepp up the great work however I do have one question? LOL I have just finished glassing my own Mark VI torso and can't help but wonder why a woman would not just got for the pep files used for the male torso with the moddified breast plate area? The pep pf the Mark VI allready has some what of a excuse my language but BOOB look to it why not just over exagerate that area to make it fit?? Seems to me it would be much much easier. But again just my two cents. Later, Gforce598

Probably because i'm stubborn. Or not thinking. Whichever it is, I'm almost done with the chest piece now anyway.
