Sounds like you could go ahead and lay the FG down although imo it never hurts to put a light coat down first ....I have never used the spray myself....[emoji1303]

Even though I'll have to order some more resin, for now I would like to reserve some of the resin for the remainder of the pepped parts. Thinking I can get away with it, not having to add a extra coat of resin. So straight to FB it is. Gonna use the addhesive tonight. For my lunch hour today, gonna cut into pieces from the FB cloth.

When I put a coat of resin on the inside of my parts before glassing it unnecessarily added extra weight. When I do the next parts I will be applying resin only to the outside which saturates into the paper enough for the parts to be rigid, and then the first coat of resin on the inside will be the one which starts attaching fiberglass.

Yeah, while I was posting about leaving out the extra coat of resin I had you in mind. I remember you having a discussion with another member in your thread about it. Thanks for the input. As for the adhesive spray, think I'll spray it on the abplate first, as a test trial. Also, the abplate will most likly be the guinea pig for bondo/ slash body filler work.

Be sure to let us know how the spray adhesive works out for you. A number of people have asked about tacking it down similarly before brushing on the resin but I haven't seen anybody post specific results.

Definitely gonna be following this. I'm using the same pep files as you and your pep work looks so clean!

Thanks bro! I secretly lurk through other threads using Masterbuilders files, lol. Just checking to see if I can get any ideas on how to get this suit put together. So far I dont really have any issues. Yesterday, was slightly rough. Managed to finish laying down some more fiberglass and resing the inside of the torso. I say rough, because I was outside for like 4 hours doing that. Its not like I don't have a farmers tan any ways, and upper back being sore. But hey, I was determined to get it done. Gonna have a photo dump some time this week, so be on the look out.:)

After taking this photo, I've spent a couple of hours trimming excess fiberglass off the edges.

Hello everyone, this will be a separate thread from my Armor, and weapons thread. Reason being, is that this threads entirety will strictly focus on my Halo4 MC build. Which means, no more playing around. I've made up my mind that this will be my first full suit. Huge thanks to MikyVengeance for inspiration, and a special thanks to MasterBuilder for cleaning up, and providing the files!

How did you get awesome folds like that??? And if someone already asked sorry for being redundant.

My personal belief is the numbers are there to deceive you. Just need to make sure your edges line up just about perfect on each end, then work the rest of the tabs that are in between your end tabs.

That is one super clean pep and an overall clean build. Very well done,it's looking great!

I did some lurking on yours last night haha I'm maybe a third of the way through doing the helmet and I'm using yours for references pics hahah
I'm sure if I've got any troubles when it comes to the next stage I'll flick you a msg because your build is by far the best looking master builder one I've seen

Thanks Roku, and AlexAnderson!
As for cleanliness, might be a ocd thang? And yes, expect nothing less from the rest of this build. If it takes me another year to get it just right then so be it! If you scroll up, I posted a selfie. I couldn't get the bicep/shoulder pieces on. Gonna get the wife to help me with that tonight, if I get lucky. Although I'm a bit concerned about the torso as for mobility goes might have to walk around like a bodybuilder. Can't really relax my arm straight up and down, because of the part of the torso that sits underneath your arm. Heck might end up doing foam if it comes down to the wire. We'll have to see.:cool

This is awesome! I'm SO HAPPY to see you're in the process of hardening! Finally! :D

It's looking awesome! ^^

Thanks Mara! Glad to be hardening parts also!:D The torso is pretty much the only thing that is glassed at the moment, wanted to get it done to prevent warping the pep. Having it just sitting there, GRAVITY tends to take its coarse. Also, its hard getting in and out of it at the moment for test fitting. With it being glassed I don't have to worry about it getting messed up.

Looks amazing! Now get on that bondo [emoji12]

Bondo?! What the heck is that?:confused Lol, gonna have to wait for that. I don't have any bondo at the moment. Speaking of body filler, when you gonna finish that lid?:facepalm

Hey sdg,
Bondo, if you don't already know, is the filler used to add to the piece to add the detailing and that nice smooth sexy look to the armor. And if you hardened the helmet, did it start warping on you when you put in the resin? Mine started to do that in the curing process and I'm not sure how to fix it. Suggestions?
