This is a really nice suit you're creating. I just got an airbrush too, they're a blast to use! Keep up the hard work, I look forward to seeing more. :)

How much that airbrush cost? I was thinking of doing that this time as opposed to spray paint. Too messy....

exact same air brush i got! lol. I'm finally moved into the new house and starting up armor production again, splitting my building time between my reach suit and an odst suit for my room mate. If you got it from harbor frieght like i did, I think it was around 100 bucks, totally worth it, fairly easy to learn as well, just play around with it on some test pieces first, this is how I did the stripes on my helmet which you can see on my build link down below.

Wow just wow.
I just stumbled across this thread and I can't believe that I had missed it for so long.
This is one of the best Halo reach foam builds I have seen.
Your attention to detail is outstanding.
I can't wait for more updates.
+1 sub here :)

Looking so epic. I really dig builds like this, you know the mega detailed ones. They always look solid.

Hey everyone! I'm not dead! I just haven't had internet due to construction, it's been and interesting few months. I only have a few pictures to upload now, I hope it's enough for now.

VERY nice work, Spartan. Glad to see you haven't been resting on your laurels and you've put your downtime to good use. I'm very impressed.

What ideas do you have in mind for the GUNGNIR helmet's visor?

Hello everyone :3
I have the interwebs again, after seven months, and boy has it been glorious.

I came back to 405th. and well. Lots o' changes, I lurked those seven months on my phone, so I knew the update was coming. But this is pretty rad!

I wish I had an EXTREMELY in depth post about my suit. But don't worry! IT'S COMING!

All I have, is the ability to drop off this small little bombshell. And I do hope you all enjoy. For I am shedding the lurker cloak once more.

Here she lies. (stands)

And It's also sporting a nice pair of speakers!
IMG_2706.jpg
What speakers?
IMG_2707.jpg

And for now, This is how I currently see out of the helmet.
IMG_2709.jpg
It isn't too bad, This one is for watching what is front of my feet.
IMG_2710.jpg
and the lens for my path in general.
IMG_2708.jpg

Well. Like I said, I promise a full in depth post about everything I have done. I owe you all that much <3

OH MY Gosh.

I had fun today

So. Today I had a little bit of a photoshoot. Tons of fun. Like seriously. The second time I ever put on the suit, and I get to have fantastic pictures of it taken.. And the pictures all turned out fantastic.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....
HERE we ARE (Sorry I'm just so excited.)

Here is the front.
_MG_0227.jpg

and the back.
_MG_0229.jpg

And the rest, :)
_MG_0192.jpg

This was me getting into a truck bed, from the tire. I have good flexibility in this suit. However. My spine armor is not buckled in, Regrettably. It's my only irk about the day,

_MG_0203.jpg

AND THEN. I FOUND A KITTY! And I thought, lets kick it back to the old days of Adam using his dog as a rifle while in his suit.
_MG_0206.jpg

It's cool, The kitty likes Spartans.
_MG_0207.jpg

YODA!
_MG_0208.jpg

The spartan rests.
_MG_0215.jpg
_MG_0216.jpg

Okay, Back to the "firefight"
_MG_0221.jpg
Take cover!
_MG_0223.jpg
Peek out!
_MG_0225.jpg

Eye Candy

_MG_0235.jpg

I'm ending this post tactically (PUN Pun pun)

Thank you. I hope you all enjoyed.
Please ask any and all questions, I will gladly do my best to answer them all. Seeing how my build pretty much went from 60%-92% on this posting.

How to best describe your suit. There are many words I could use to do so. Frankly they fall short of a true description. I could say its "cool" but that is what we do here, we make "Cool" suits. I could also say I am jealous, but wouldn't we all die to try someone elses suit on. So I have decide to say it is spectacular. I is all I wish my suit was and more. One day I hope to get back to armor making and you will definitely be a source of inspiration.

With a HUD the light waves are made parallel so that you do not need to refocus on the hud image and back to real view. But if it's going to be your primary view then you could get away with a mini projector displaying onto a screen in front of you and using lenses to adjust the focus distance of the image to suit the short focal point. Alternatively, Get something like the occlusion rift and install them inside the helmet. I guess it all depends on the amount of space you have in there. Many years ago I had a laser tag style set which projected your remaining lives onto the inside of a sunglass lense as a hud

Well man, i think the suit turned out GREAT!!! :)
I love all the pictures too!!
Great job

Wow bud this looks amazing. Your scaling is perfect. And the paintjob looks great. Very well done. This kind of build gets me pumped to work and finish my build.

This is a incredible build and very inspiring. Beautiful clean work and you did a fantastic job on the paint. Amazing suit!

Due to its front and back sticking out so far my gungnir ended up being 410 mm long just to fit my head and it just seems too big. Could I ask what the dimensions of your helmet are to use as a basis. I have a 22" head size.
