Starting my ODST build

Sorry that I went dark, I got sick and had to head to Missouri Paracon this last weekend. I’ve attach the MKII top half of the helmet. The green glows :)
I might have a glowing addiction!

The smoother the buck, the smoother the visor. Imperfections like ridges, bumps, etc. will come through in the visor and cause a distortion in vision. Due to the concave shape of the visor its a little bit like looking through a fish bowl. So ideally the smoother you can make it, the better your vision through the visor will be.

In my experience a step down approach to sanding would be 120, 220, 400, 600(wet). If you want a SUPER clean visor a final wet sand with 1000. YMMV.

Does anyone have any tips for how to remove the plastic from the buck after it’s formed?
I'm a little confused. What happened? Is the plastic not coming off the buck? What am I looking at in that picture?

Sometimes the plastic won't come off if there's an overhang on the buck. Sometimes the plastic you're using to form is too rigid and won't bend away from the buck. What happens when you try to remove it?
